2018 MLB Season

He'll absolutely go into the Orioles Hall of Fame at some point. He made more of an impact than Brian Roberts or Melvin Mora ever had, and they're both in there. A number retirement is a bit of a stretch.

It’s a new era in Birdland, as one of the Orioles’ top prospects, Cedric Mullins, has been called up and is making his MLB debut today.

The catch? Mullins plays CF, the position played by modern Orioles legend Adam Jones. So Jones is playing RF today for the first time since 2007 and had this to say on Twitter.

We don’t deserve him. I hope he stays in Baltimore forever, rebuilds be darned. No one should wear #10 again.

That man is a treasure amongst heaps of horse manure. The Orioles organization doesn't deserve him.

Barry Bonds had his #25 retired by the Giants today.

He put up numbers throughout his career, but still has 0 World Series rings.

This is really cool, though...

Joe Maddon is a lot like an Instagram thot in that he has convinced people he is intelligent simply by wearing eyeglasses.

From the jaws of defeat...a Bote sails through.

So we beat on, Bote against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the Nats.

The Tribe may have the worst record of the 10 teams to make the 2018 MLB Playoffs. They may also be the first team to punch their ticket to the playoffs.

Seattle isn't in the playoffs at the moment. They would be the best team in the NL.

Lucky for them that the Twins, Tigers, Royals & White Sox are all hot garbage.

Can St. Louis just go away... like forever?

It feels more and more like 2011 everyday.

So the Cardinals are fun to watch again. They're 17-9 since Mike Shildt took over, haven't lost a series in two weeks and have won six games in a row now. Matt Carpenter is hitting like Albert Pujols, the bullpen is pitching well with the new guys, they've cleaned up the errors (mostly) and the young guys like Harrison Bader have given the team a real shot in the arm. They've also managed to play their way back into contention for the wildcard and still have a  chance, however small, to catch the Cubs. Considering the crap baseball the team has been playing for the last 3-4 years, even if they don't sneak into the playoffs, I'll be more than happy if they can keep playing well and finish the season on a high note.

Oh look, now the Dodgers have two players with irregular heartbeats, the one new bullpen acquisition with a broken leg, and the rest of the bullpen a raging dumpster fire.

Fun times.

The Red Sox are 51 games over .500 and I still don't trust this team come October.

Cool, how about you tell us again for a 10th time.

The A’s are good to where it doesn’t make any sense, and the Giants are only 5 back in a pretty weak division. I dont really expect much from either team in terms of a playoff run, because they both have playoff teams ahead of them who ate head and shoulders above them, but at least the last two months or so are still interesting here!

No, because the team(s) in front of them would have to have a big lead in September to blow ala the 2011 Braves.
