The NFL would actually want you to gain confidence in this league considering that they're airing games on the NFL Network. The NFL is probably thinking that the student-athlete model (read: sham) the NCAA has is going to be unworkable soon and they need a new source for young talent. But in this case I don't think they are, which is to the AAF's benefit. They're not setting themselves up to be anything but complimentary to the NFL. Which isn't something typically tried by these alt leagues. Hell, the AAF is using some rules that NFL has been considering, it's a great way for the NFL to see how they go and tweak their plans for those rules accordingly. I don't think that's by accident. As far as TV is concerned, though, I agree that the NFL probably sees the AAF as filler until the draft but if it gets a better-than-expected audience, the NFL may consider having more connections to the AAF. I swear I remember ESPN once posting about a player that had been on the Cubs since 2102. Minor rant aside, they really should've brought out the app for testing when the scrimmages were going. Yeah, you're not going to get anywhere near the number of people watching a scrimmage as you are a game, but if you had issues with streaming a scrimmage then that would clearly be a major issue you want to fix before having thousands more people watch a live game on your app. As far as gambling goes, that's on the consumer if they don't know their state's gaming laws. Probably would detect the IP you use for the app and restrict/open up the ability to gamble based on that. Customer uses a VPN? Then that's on the customer for breaking the law.
