dfwabel
Nice of Moose Johnston to pay homage to Jerry Jones by standing on the sideline as GM.
raysox
Orlando and Atlanta started extremely choppy, but seemed to have settled. First points - Younghoe Koo FG for Atlanta touchdown - Garrett Gilbert to Jalin Marshall. Called incomplete and was overturned. Interception - Orlando jumps route setting up a short drive that just got capped off with a touchdown. @MichaelDanger19 | Dribbble
FiddySicks
Mike Bercovici is just as miserably awful of a QB in this league as he was in college. He’s taken FOUR sacks and thrown an int in about a quarter and a half. Get this clown outta here. The quality of play in the XFL also improved over the course of the season, it's just that most people never got past that first night. It all feels kind of inconsequential and like I'm watching exhibition games but I guess that will go away as we get further into the season. This how I feel too. I really don't have any team to root for since I live in PA, and have no connection to any of these cities. But, so far the game in SA is fun to watch. I really want this league to succeed and become the official farm system of the NFL. It would benefit everyone. Smaller cities get a chance to have pro football teams, fans get football in the spring, players and coaches get second chances, NFL gets more talent and tests new rules. There weren’t any teams that were tied to cities I’m loyal to, so I went with San Diego as my team of choice (What can I say? That branding is slick). But needless to say, before this game even started I checked out the roster and was not at all happy to see he was the starting QB. I knew that, being the league the AAF is, of course we wouldn’t be getting cream of the crop players, but my god, Mike is notorious for turnovers. Aside from a few good passes, he hasn’t really shown that he’s moved on from that at all. It’s still early though, so I suppose I shouldn’t be too hard on him. At least he can take hard hits to the helmet, unlike Brady "Winners never quit, and quitters never win." ~Vince Lombardi
See Red
Garrett Gilbert started out terrible for Orlando but he's gotten better. I'm enjoying watching the head ball coach on the sidelines again.
FiddySicks
The very first AAF game had a higher halftime score than this year’s Super Bowl. Let that sink in. ZionEagle
Does anyone else find it ironic that the AAF eliminated the kickoff to make the game quote, “safer”, and then Mike B. gets his helmet blasted off with no flags whatsoever ? Definitely interesting how lacking in penalties this game is, I kind of like that. The Orlando game started with 3 false starts, a neutral zone infraction, and a delay of game in the first five minutes. Since then it's picked up, though. dfwabel
You can tell that the disarray in Atlanta has impacted their performance. This offense is a mess and apparently, there was a QB controversy? How bad was Aaron Murray if this dude won the job?

There have been a decent amount of penalties in this game too, but not on the same level as the NFL. There have been some very handsy players on the defense, and I have yet to see a pass interference call. Same thing with the Mike sack. Albeit a nice hit, I guarantee you that would have either been called as roughing the passer or helmet to helmet contact if it had been the same play in the NFL. I guess what I’m trying to get at is, I think the AAF is trying to be more offense centric, so some things that could be called, aren’t. The biggest penalty seems to be illegal defense.

Cosmic
I tried using the "game" on the app a couple of times, but it just doesn't seem to be keeping up with the live action at all. Neat idea, though. Fun to hear Mike Martz talk about taking his QB out right before he throws an INT.
See Red
Two muffed punts in Orlando and I'm guessing from the low score out west, the QB play's been a problem. Hopefully, the fans are more forgiving of some ugly play with the AAF than they were with the XFL. Not having wrestling announcers and a more serious presentation in general probably helps, though. dfwabel
Spurrier must be related to General William Tecumseh Sherman because Atlanta cannot defend him*. *-Yes, I know Tank would've posted that.
rainmaker17
I like it, so far, but it feels strange without kickoffs. I think the field position should at least have a chance to be improved (or worsened) by the returner’s decision. Plus you never know when someone is going to bust one.
