The Vrana-Backstrom-Oshie line has been brilliant tonight. Vegas has completely shut down the Ovechkin-Kuznetsov-Wilson line.

We got ourselves a hockey game here folks. As is the case with most ties, there are pros and cons to the Caps’ performance. 

 

Pros

-Backstrom’s line has been fantastic 

-not going away quietly, fought back from two deficits to tie

-have managed to beat Fleury three times

 

Cons

-0/1 on the PP

-Kuznetsov’s line is being absolutely shackled by Schmidt/McNabb

-lots of opportunities for Vegas

-Vegas’ fourth line looks really dangerous

Washington is gonna have to play every game like it was Game 6 versus Pittsburgh.

 

Vegas' 4th line has more talent than Montreal's top line. And from the bottom up, the talent level just gets increasingly better from there. The Caps are very fortunate they were able to keep the game tied 3-3. It's a battle to get any goals whatsoever because the Golden Knights are unreal. If the urgency isn't there and Vegas finds cracks in their game and capitalizes (no pun intended) on oppurtunities, Vegas could cruise their way to winning Lord Stanley.

What a game. But Reaves got away scot-free with a cross-check on Carlson on his goal.

Vegas inevitably take the lead and seem to be in total command now.

 

If it makes anyone feel better, not only will Vegas raise the Cup this year, but I could also see them repeating next year to become 2-time Cup Champs, looking at how fueled this franchise is.

What a game of hockey. Crazy stuff. All three 3rd period goals from Vegas came from that fourth line. 

 

This team is so freaking stacked. At this point I’ll be happy if the Caps steal a game.
