Lol Penn State is such a waste of time ?

All that hype and all they ever do is blow big games like that. Good. They all deserve it.

... the :censored: was that playcall, Penn State?

I wish both teams could have lost.

McSorley's been gashing the Bucks with his arm and legs but let's hand it to the guy who's been stuffed every time he's gotten the ball. I'll take the win, but Franklin needs to just do the obvious things and throw it.

James Franklin is a bad coach.

That program becoming as good as it has under his watch is one of life's great mysteries.  I was certain that guy was headed for the door before they turned everything around.

He's a phenomenal recruiter. Having that much talent will win you games against the teams you're supposed to beat. We're never getting over the top with his awful in game decisions though.

It's like he has the object permanence of a toddler with his inability to adjust. 4 screen passes by OSU. TD, 25 yard gain, 35 yard gain, TD.

I've got a dribbble, check it out if you like my stuff; alternatively, if you hate my stuff, send it to your enemies to punish their insolence!

Just watching his postgame comments, it's like he wanted everyone to think the only reason that 4th down call failed was that Ohio State players were better, not the playcalling.

Why are they interviewing Chase Brice?

Ettienne was the offense.

My favorite part about this was the narrative of Brice coming in as a hero to lead the team to victory ESPN used all night anytime they showed the highlights. If a running back has 203 yards... you should win your game.

Biggest sigh of relief that Georgia fans have had all year: UGA @ LSU has been scheduled for 2:30 local time. Add the early start to the innumerable commercial breaks that CBS uses to kill the crowd, and I'm feeling about as good as I can about the Dawgs playing in Death Valley.

I've never understood broadcasting guidelines at all, but why doesn't CBS have a night slot more than once a year?

I think a night game was LSU's only hope to win that game. They're very overrated at #5. Despite that ranking, both FPI and S&P+ have LSU at < 50% to win at Florida this week. And while I think Florida is getting better and finally trending in the right direction, they wouldn't stand a chance against any of the top teams.

They have to share the spotlight with the other Big 5 conferences and if they have the primetime slot on CBS there's a fear they'd suck up all the viewers. Granted if it's Alabama and Mississippi they'd end up losing viewers before halftime. It doesn't really matter because they'll still be on ESPN.

SEC Network is the biggest reason now.  When ESPN and the SEC partnered for the network, it was also around the time Mike Slive and CBS met to renew.  In exchange to get an expanded set of games, starting in Week 1, CBS gave up exclusivity to the 3:30PM Eastern time slot, but still gets the first pick each week for conference games.  That provides SEC Network to have three games per Saturday.

Looks Iike somebody can consistently defeat Nick Saban...the Alabama student body!

Quote

Saban said he was displeased with the number of unfilled seats in the student section at Bryant Denny Stadium as Alabama cruised to 56-14 victory over Louisiana–Lafayette on Saturday, bringing the team to 5–0 this season.

"I can honestly say I was a little disappointed there weren’t more students at the last game,” Saban told the media on Wednesday. “I think we’re trying to address that. I don’t think they’re entitled to anything, either.”

Saban suggested making student attendance first-come, first-serve. He also added, "they introduce our players and nobody even cheers."

Alabama changed their student ticket policy in 2017, which basically shut out underclassmen from getting season tickets. They also penalize those who fail to attend games which they bought, buy failed to give back for resale.

David Carr talks about being a teammate to Lane Kiffin, and how Lane became a coach in the most Lane Kiffin way possibly.

The Kiffin interview with author James Andrew Miller regarding his Alabama time is fascinating.

Lane uses "we", as opposed to "I", because he grew up as the son of an assistant/coordinator who never get credit.

Texas is (probably) back for real this time. Though Charlie Strong also beat a top-10 Oklahoma team.

Texas really, really tried to give that game away in the 4th. Kyler Murray lost the first game he's started since Middle School and was still awesome.
