Why would Holgerson move from Power 5 in a weak conference to move to Group of 5 in a stronger conference?
burgundy 1,117 Posted December 30, 2018 College football needs to be blown up. What's even the f#cking point anymore? Bring on legitimate minor league football and save us from this crap.

alxy8s 121 Posted December 30, 2018 Don’t know that I’ve ever heard the “overrated” chant raining down in the first quarter before. In 5 years of semifinals, all of 1 game has been worth a damn.

Ohio State-Alabama in the first year and Oklahoma-Georgia last year. Knowing that, I don't get why people want to expand the playoff. Though I would've loved to see Alabama beat UCF by a thousand.
Red Wolf 2,671 Posted December 30, 2018 Ohio State-Alabama that first year was good. Especially because it started off looking a lot like Alabama was going to curb stomp the Buckeyes.
DEAD! 560 Posted December 30, 2018 - Today, Notre Dame's football team was known as the Irish ... because they sure as hell didn't put up a fight. - The other game might be described as a slobberknocker! - Georgia... you had your chance.
See Red 1,238 Posted December 30, 2018 Oklahoma is showing signs of life. They get a score here and another stop and things could get interesting.

Can’t speak for everyone, but for me personally, I want an expanded playoff purely because I think it’s a bit stupid to have 130 teams in the same division yet only teams from the Power 5 can win a national championship. I don’t think it’s fair. I don’t really care if the games are entertaining either. I just think every team in the bowl subdivision deserves a real chance at winning the national championship no matter how unrealistic it might be. Otherwise the Power 5 conferences should really just have their own division seeing as those schools are the only teams who are given an opportunity to win the national championship.
oldschoolvikings 7,700 Posted December 30, 2018 Man, I hope Michigan keeps this coaching staff intact. With Ohio State transitioning into a new HC, we need the Wolverines to keep these dinosaurs in place.
Rockstar Matt 979 Posted December 30, 2018 Wait, did I hear this right? The Dave Matthews Band is playing the halftime show..?! What year is this? Is this even the right decade?
infrared41 4,774 Posted December 30, 2018 Call me crazy, but I think UCF would have given Clemson a better game than ND did. Oh well, at least I get to see Clemson - Alabama playing for the title for the fourth straight time. That's really exciting.

They need to completely ban them from bowl games until they get themselves into a conference. Their egotistic demeanor is a good reason why they're independent. I think Notre Dame values football far more than the rest of their sports, because when you think of them... you think of their football program (and being Irish). 2 hours ago, SabresRule7361 said: Clemson and Bama have sucked the fun out of college football.
