MJWalker45
I expected that score to be reversed. Lawrence hasn't had to make any decisions under duress and if Clemson wasn't tipping half their blitzes they could be up by more.

Red Wolf
I finally understand why SEC schools keep firing coaches that can't beat Saban. What a pack of losers those guys must be.

Les Miles is probably the closest to actually being fired for basically that reason. But it comes down to failing to meet expectations and everybody in the SEC thinks they should be able to compete for the SEC title, and if you don't beat Saban, you're not winning that title. It's mostly a narrative that gets spread a bunch and I decided to make a very hilarious, incredibly genius joke referencing that.
neo_prankster
Now that the game is over, I never expected Clemson to clown Alabama they way they did tonight. For sure, I thought Bama could regain composure and bounce back in the second half. The Fictional Story of Austus

You could say that Tennessee has fired three: Fulmer, Dooley, and Jones. While at Alabama, Saban has not lost to Tennessee. His last loss to them was in 2001 regular season at LSU and got revenge in that season's SEC Championship.

I feel like the only way we avoid this is Saban or Swinney take their talents to somewhere else. But at least we knew it was the two best teams playing tonight. I don't think any other team could whoop Alabama like that and I'm certain if they played 9 more times it might be 50-50.

Pretty sure that was the loss that knocked the Vols out of the title game vs Miami. Granted, they would’ve been slaughtered even worse than Nebraska was in the championship game, but still...
