Public Artwork, high school uniforms, and dogs.

Well, I'm not sure if the "concepts" forum is the right place for this, but I'm not sure where else to put it.  For the past month, I've been involved in a public artwork project, to design and paint large scale dog sculptures, which will be placed around town. Local artists were asked to submit design ideas, and if a sponsor stepped up, we were given a large fiberglass dog sculpture to paint/add to/recreate. One of my proposals was to split a dog down the middle and dress him as the two rival high schools, Grosse Pointe North and Grosse Pointe South. My initial Idea was to make him into a football dog, but that changed along the way. This was a ton of fun, as it combined a bunch of my loves... sports uniforms, painting, and dogs.  Here's a few pictures of the process...

(This is where I deviated from the original plan... in true board spirit, I decided to "add stripes".)

They will eventually be auctioned off.  Hopefully, it will be displayed around somewhere around Grosse Pointe, Michigan so I can visit him.
