It's representative of the local history and art style. It pays respects to the native American influence of the area, and it's not like any other jersey in the league. At the same time I’m a little disappointed that the team opted to bring the old look back without any tweaking. I was hoping they’d tweak the colors at the very least to bring them into alignment with their current primaries. I realize it’s a minor complaint, and if it came down to a return of the classic jersey or no jersey at all, I’d choose the classic jersey hands down. Exactly. I know some people hate the robo-Coyote, but the design is so perfect for Phoenix. It’s MILES better than the yawning dog they use now. I may just have to snag one of these. The design is also terrific in how it represents Coyote’s chaotic nature. The only drawback I have with this look is how drab it can look on the ice. Otherwise it’s a classic. While we’re on the topic, I despise the Coyotes modern look. That redesign style is one that you reward a team that is in the playoff mix and wins cups. The thinking of “dress for success” is so overrated. Not to mention that the Coyotes went from mystical, romantic, regional, and cultural aesthetics to a minimalist look that instead of celebrating Coyote highlights A coyote, which regularly gets shot and hit by cars.
