If you have a skill worth $5 million a year, you might find you have more leverage to do something exactly like that.

Anybody can do it. When I worked in the middle of the night for <$10/hour, people walked off in the middle of the shift without telling anyone all the time; they didn’t get thrown in jail or sued or anything. There’s no leverage involved, but neither management nor the other employees will like it... no matter how much or how little someone makes.

I’m normally pretty pro-player, but I’m skeptical that there was anything there that wasn’t there in practice or preseason or training camp. If anything, it sort of sounds like he had a panic attack. If he said that or there was even a twisted ankle, I can respect that. But to all of a sudden realize you can’t cut it at halftime of a game where your team is down big? It sounds fishy. And his statement sounds like marketing BS.

well I don't think that's fair. It's not like they are treating their employees unfairly. They are at a low point in their billion dollar sports franchise.  One of the 32 teams has to suck. Should the other 52 players on the roster quit because management 'doesn't care'?

If they have concerns with health, then yes, absolutely they should quit. But I don't think Vontae quit because "management doesn't care". He quit cause he couldn't hack it anymore

I cannot emphasize enough how the Bills arrival at this point is self-inflicted by management.  They dumped the QB who drug them to the playoffs for a hack who played in snow on occasion in college....and then wouldn't even start the hack in week 1.

Dallas' Defense teed off on and shellshocked Eli most of the game. The offense is still sketchy and streaky, but the defense is looking a lot better.

If they can fix the offensive struggles, this team can win the division. But, this was a must-win game I think.

It’s all about execution for the Cowboys offensively.

The plays were there to be had. The Cowboys should have put 30+ but due to bad penalties (they were penalties too, not a criticism of the officiating), and some missed plays (drops, and a couple of poor throws), the Cowboys weren’t good offensively from the 2nd to the 3rd quarter.

They do have the 3rd youngest team in the NFL, so this is to be expected. Gotta clean it up and our offense will be good. (Linehan still needs to go though.)

Our defense is legitimately an elite unit. Top 5. Finally. We haven’t had one since I was 12 years old (‘03). They are good enough to make a deep run into the postseason.

Now the question will be can the offense be good enough to capitalize on the opportunities this elite defense will give us.

So you’re saying he’ll be starting for the Cardinals next season?

Certainly shouldn't be Sam Bradford.

Five first downs against the Rams for the Cardinals, two of which came on the final drive where they moved across the 50 yard line FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH 30 SECONDS LEFT. And ran THEIR FIRST PLAY IN RAMS TERRITORY as time expired. Sure, the Rams defense looked pretty good, but the Cardinals were absolutely putrid on offense.

Rams are 2-0 for the first time since 2001.

I love how Jon Gruden’s second tenure with the Raiders was immediately destroyed and is already a total failure due to that Mack trade. I’m a HUGE Gruden fan, but even I can’t see how he’s ever gonna recover from this one.

Good God is Mack an absolute monster.
