Baker was looking at hit phone all the time he was being walked out to the NFLN crew.

That's a problem.

This is what I liked best about the Browns win last night - it's from an ESPN story

Quote

"The final kneel-down brought no over-the-top celebrations like their last win. Players merely shook hands and congratulated each other with some hugs."

Yeah, the Browns finally won, but more importantly, for the first time since 1994 the Browns look like a team that's headed in the right direction. And that's exactly how they acted.

While I’m not a fan of monochrome? I do want to point out that Cleveland broke the winless streak in a pretty traditional jersey.

whispers “It’s a sign” to the Browns

Congrats Browns, and congrats Browns fans! Here’s hoping this is the start of something.

Or a sign that they need to eat more Skor bars.

I really like the jerseys, but the mono-brown look is awful. Pair that jersey with white pants and I think the Browns would have a really solid look.

My thoughts exactly.

So I’m assuming you also walked uphill both ways to school in the snow year round, right?

I don't want to be "that guy" - which is always a preface in becoming said guy - but I would get more excited if the Browns managed to not be eliminated from the playoffs come Thanksgiving. Sure, one win is great, but if The Baker reverts to a Sanchez-esque turnover machine, then it's just another shoe falling down from the sky to crush the hopes and dreams of Northeast Ohio. So far though, this team has shown much greater potential and some good reasons to think Cleveland might be on the cusp of being a .500 team in the near future.

Also, while their kits last night were fine, the mono-brown did look fugly and like Infrared said, white pants would help things out a bunch. But I'm sticking with my guns and saying I miss the pale orange helmets compared to this carrot-colored one they have now.

"And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life... You have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure. But don't worry... you will someday."

It’s the AFC North. So that’s possible.

FWIW, this is the first time since the team came back in 1999 that I honestly believe the Browns are headed in the right direction. I'm very confident. The defense is totally legit and if what we saw out of Mayfield last night was a sign of things to come, the future is very bright. Last night was the first time I've seen the Browns 2.0 win a game because they were simply the better team. And they played like it. They reached a point last night that I've been waiting to see for 19 seasons now - they're competitive, they're fun to watch, and most importantly, they believe they can win. That is an important step on the road to being a legitimate contender. None of this means I think the Browns are a playoff team this season, but they aren't going to be an easy out for anyone. In 19 seasons, I've never been truly excited about the future of this team. I am now.

Granted, I'm only watching the box score, but if I were officiating a game that had too much action on the home team -- even at -17 -- I would officiate it like this.

That, or the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen have supplanted the Chiefs and Mahomes as the next great NFL dynasty.

One thing I've learned about the NFL this season is that I don't know anything about the NFL this season.

I got to the game via Reddit. Josh Allen is looking great today.

How?

I should have gotten my flu shot... I just had a crazy fever dream that the Bills were up 27-0 over the Vikings at halftime.

What in the Wide World of Sports in goin' on around here?

By the way, Niners should be happy if they're lucky enough to go 8-8.

This is going to be a REALLY fun run with a lot of these young QBs. Some will drop off, no doubt. But this is the best young crop of guys I’ve seen in quite some time. It’s pretty rare to have this many teams with a good option throwing the ball.
