2018 NFL Season

Apparently, what Brandon Graham did here was considered a "body weight" penalty.  He could not have done more to not land his body on the QB. That's literally what you are now supposed to do!  Screw this league.  This is a flag for flag's sake and was directly responsible for a score.

It appears I misread the scenario...thanks to Pittsburgh's choke job in NO, apparently they are the ones missing the playoffs. (I should laugh at that, but I'll let it slide this time.) It's win-and-they're in for both Indy and the Snati--okay the Titans, which puts a HUGE premium on this upcoming game (and now how big does that gaffe up in Indy loom for Tennessee?). Apparently, the winner still has a shot at even winning the division should Houston somehow lose to the Jaguars. Craziness.

Colts-Titans was flexed to SNF. I don't think I've seen Tennessee on NBC in a long time.

He needed to do what his fellow Michigan pass rusher, Frank Clark, did in Week 15 versus the 49ers.

Yeah somehow they managed to get three primetime games this season (not that TNF really counts, but still)--a Monday nighter vs Dallas and now this one coming up. It's tough to tell which team has more pressure...right now the Colts are sitting in the 6 spot, so it's theirs to lose and Tennessee's to win. However, IF somehow Houston loses to Jacksonville (what has happened in the AFC South this season???), the winner I believe can actually take the 3 seed and get a home playoff game.

Suddenly this thing has gotten mighty interesting, to say the least...

I guess I need to be the biggest 49er fan ever on Sunday, since if the Rams are blowing them out, the Bears coach already said he'll bench their players against MIN (esp since if they throw the game, they'll just play them again the next week.)  So by moving the schedule and having the Bears play at 4 rather than 1, the SBCPE could be screwed because CHI might have nothing to play for and just pull their good players.  Had they left it alone, both them and MIN would have had to play hard, and the only potentially meaningless game would have been PHI vs WAS, which would mean nothing anyway (hence "meaningless".)  I guess that if MIN were to win, it would make LA vs SF meaningless, but nobody else would be hurt by LA resting people.

Not saying this is intentional - I don't think it is - but it's certainly a decision that could potentially screw the SBCPE, who have already been getting sodomized weekly.  If not for their bleeding anuses, none of this would be an issue.

That kinda year.

Quote

Before Saturday, Jawill Davis was best known as a rookie backup wide receiver for the Giants who set a career-best against the Titans in Week 15 when he hauled in two catches for 13 yards. Undrafted out of Bethune-Cookman, Davis is now best known for something else: dislocating his knee cap while dancing in the team locker room and landing on injured reserve, ending his 2018 season.

Not true. You have to root for the 49ers to keep it close against the LAR so Chicago tries to win at Minnesota so the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles can get in the playoffs after they snap a few more Washington QB legs. If Chicago doesn’t even try, then Minnesota has a 100% chance of winning their game, but since the SBCPE would then be eliminated, MIN gets their 50% chance added to them (plus the extra 25% chance they get since Washington stinks) giving the Vikings 175% chance of making the playoffs.

Numbers dont lie. Root for SF and CHI

I think even in that case chiefs get the tie breaker for the 2nd seed, pats would get the 1 seed if they win because they beat the chiefs. I don’t know all the tie breaker criteria but I believe the first one is points scored which chiefs would beat the Texans by at least 100 pts

Points scored is in there eventually, but it starts with head-to-head, but that doesn't apply since the Chiefs and Football Clippers didn't play the Texans. Then it goes to win percentages against conference teams or something and I'm not willing to put in the work to figure out if that even matters.

Josh Allen is the most exciting 2018 rookie QB. Assuming he doesn't get himself killed, Bills may have gotten themselves a good one.

All these Bucs fans are clamoring for them to fire Licht and Koetter, but does it even really matter? They’re just going to bring in another useless scrub who’s in WAY over his head and will lose 10 games a season. What respectable coach would even want to work for the Bucs? They’re probably the least desirable destination in the NFL right now. Nothing about their market is compelling, they have a rapist for a quarterback, idiot owners, and so little hope for the future.

:censored:, I seriously envy the Browns right now. Why am I still wasting my time with these clowns?

As a Packer fan, I guess there's no more fitting way to end this disgrace of a season than getting blanked.  By the effing Lions.  In Lambeau.

Lemme help you out here, brother...

...I disembarked that ship five or six years ago. Thank Schiano for that one. I was cool with Mo-Mo* until it became clear he was in over his head by trying to be one of the boys instead of coaching and being in charge of the boys. That coupled with me living in Indy at the time and throwing my support behind Andrew Luck and the Colts made the transition from superfan to casual observer much easier. Then Schiano showed up and just torpedoed the whole thing. And whatever parts were left floating, the Alarm Clocks sunk for good--which coincided with me finally deciding to jump on the Titan train. (Only for them to jack up their uniforms too...)

In summary, these days I just enjoy the league for what it is while it's still halfway enjoyable to watch. (Except the Cowboys, because bump the Cowboys. 😁

The Bears should absolutely throw this game against the anemic Vikings.

So if today’s curbstomping by the Chiefs is actually the FINAL Oakland Raiders game, how much of an absolute disaster was moving the Raiders back to the Bay Area? Nobody gained anything in those two decades but a whole lotta debt and a Super Bowl ass kicking by a former coach. That’s probably one of the worst relocations ever, all things considered.
