Ottawa makes the Cleveland Browns look like a well oiled machine. It’s like they are deliberately going out of their way to make the worst possible decisions. I have never seen an organization tank without a first round pick.

Still, thanks again Dorion for giving up Dahlen in exchange for the corpse of Alex Burrows.

This is why nobody in Ottawa believes Eugene Melnyk when he says anything about wanting the team to win.  You can't want the team to win and then trade away your biggest asset for nothing.  This was all about money.  That's it.  That's all.  Melnyk wants to win, sure, but he wants to win by being on the salary floor.  Paying players means he pockets less money and he hates that idea.

I've heard from inside sources that Leeder and Anselmi leaving was all about Melnyk meddling and not letting them do the job.  There were blowups with both, I've heard.  It's Melnyk who needs to go to San Jose.

This is Jack Hughes' draft year.

It's because they know Montreal is head of the pack to be a basement contender. Their GM is now giving Bergy & Carey Price, who blows team leads like no else does, a run for all the money they make between the two of them.

I'm still holding onto hope that my Habs will be worse than the Sens.

Sorry mate, but the draft is in Vancouver this year, and the Canucks need a new pair of elite brothers. We've already swayed his brother to the dark side. It's only a matter of time. The seeds have been sown.

Jack has a brother named Quinn? We know Jack is the real deal but how good is Quinn?

I find it funny tbh that's it's allready a 5-horse race to the bottom between the same couple of teams before the season has even begun lol. Of course, Bergevin won't admit Habs are in re-build mode, even though everybody already secretly knows it.

It would be out of this world incredible, if the cards fall in the same direction twice and the Canucks can get both pairs of brothers.

Reminder that the Sens' traded their 2019 first-rounder to Colorado ad part of the Matt Duchene deal. They literally can not tank for Jack Hughes. But they're doing all this anyway.

Oh crap, you're right.

K, that's worse than I thought.

Karlsson, Burns, Pickles & Braun..... that's just filthy, no matter what way you look at it. Odd that 3 out of the 4 are righties, but knowing the Sharks, they'll make it work.

Also, every Sens fan deserves a hug right now and also the opportunity to punch Melnyk & Dorion in the face.

That’s a good trade for the Sharks even if he doesn’t resign. All of what they gave up is replaceable.

After playing all 82 games the last 3 years Henrik Zetterberg has retired due to injury.

Here in Michigan this was always the speculation as his salary drops to 3 million this year and 1 million the next two after making 7+ for the last few.
The Wings get to put him on LTIR for cap reasons.

Yet Kovalchuk's deal in LA a few yrs. back was voided for the garbage year at the end to bring down AAV

Karlsson wants a Stanley Cup.

Then that means he stays in Northern California for one season and bolts.

Ha. Ha. Ha. Oh that self-deprecating humor, it's a hell of a drug.

Lol....but in all realness. They look really good. The Sharks have always been another Washington Capitals. An amazing regular season team only to fizzle out in the playoffs. Well, the Caps did it. Maybe it's the Sharks year.
