The_Admiral
They finally benched Mike Smith. The Flames are as much a one-line wonder as the Avs and Stars, but if the Oilers don't get it together soon all three of them might make the playoffs anyway. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
Crabcake
The Caps just beat the Bruins. For the 14th time in a row. Four. Teenth. Time. In a row. Last Bruins win against the Caps came on March 29, 2014.
Kramerica Industries
So if we apply common sense, Alex Ovechkin scored his 700th career NHL goal tonight. Well then. Congrats, Ovi. Here it is, btw. #Ovi700
The_Admiral
So did Bobrovsky just quit the Blue Jackets or something? What's going on? ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Doug MacLean was telling a story during last night's Oilers-Panthers game about Bobrovsky getting pulled the other night and, by intermission, he was showered and in his street clothes and refusing to come back to the bench. Then apparently there was an argument on the tarmac before they flew to Nashville. But it was Doug MacLean, so take it with a boulder of salt. JackieMoon
Sad to see Rick Nash retire. The Jackets need to retire #61. He stayed in Columbus through a lot of bad seasons. ...and when he was booed when he came back to Columbus as a Ranger, that was pathetic. All Jackets fans owe him a lot of respect. Hands down the best player Columbus has ever had.
The_Admiral
I mean I can't argue his face-of-the-franchise status but I don't think numbers get much emptier than those of Rick Nash. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

The_Admiral
Apparently all the greatest minds in the Stars organization are on Jumbotron duty and not in management. That's why there was no one to say "hey, dumbass, you won a scoring title with 87 points because some idiot broke Patrick Kane's clavicle before he could hit 100." ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
Sport
The "incident" according to this was that Bobrovsky got pulled and then immediately got undressed when there was still time left in the game. If Korpisalo had gotten injured they would've had to scramble to get Bob back in net. Then there was a meeting on the tarmac before they flew out. https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/1698877 I feel like there's got to be more to this still. Still MIGHTY
12 L's in a row for the Ducks. 0-8-4, and they've led in 8 of those games. But, according to GM Bob Murray, it's the players' fault for not stepping up and definitely not the one coaching them (the same one who coached a 7-game losing streak amid a 3-8-4 stretch earlier this season), and probably not the one who put those players together. So to send a message, Murray traded the hardest working guy on the team, Andrew Cogliano, for a cheaper, younger, but probably not as good version of him. Also, Randy Carlyle has scratched the team's No. 2 goal scorer, Pontus Aberg (what?), for four consecutive games because his "overall compete level in the game has to go up." this team, but specifically the people in charge of it. (Not you, John Gibson. Protect him at all costs.) | ANA | LAA | LAR | LAL | ASU | CSULB | USMNT | USWNT | LAFC | OCSC | MAN UTD |
The Six
It's guaranteed in Carlyle's contract that he gets a front office job with the Ducks after coaching. Don't know why they just can't "transition" him to that now, but either way, he's going nowhere.

Oh, the Ducks just traded Aberg today to Minnesota for Justin Kloos. Their 2nd-to-top goal scorer for a guy who's played one game (and did nothing but commit a turnover and a penalty in that game). So that's a good trade.
