Wade Heidt
A bit more editing detail about the Winnipeg Blue Bombers jersey of 1990 to 1994. When the Bomber added the gold trim to the numbers in 1990, there was another minor alteration. The look of the logo on the sleeve changed as well. Take the blue jerseys up to 1989. Logo lettering in blue on white background. Laces and stripes on the football in white: The updated jersey in 1990 had the logo lettering in white on blue background. johnnysama
One area I had trouble with early on is when the Saskatchewan Roughriders added the 'circle-S' logo to the jersey sleeves of their 'double-double' striped jerseys from 1967-84. Thankfully, this 1980 action shot featuring Ken McEachern put that at year:

The logo looked different on the green jerseys in 1984 compared to previous years. All years except 1984, the "S" was in green within a white circle. This was true up to and including 1983. This card of Bryan Illerbrun is a photo from 1983. QB Homer Jordan is in the background and 1983 is the only year they shared as Roughriders. In 1984, the "S" and surrounding wheatsheaf was in white. Here are a couple of photos. Can corroborate this is 1984 as one of these photos is QB Joe Paopao. His first year with the Riders was 1984 in this uniform. Of course, the major uniform redesign took place for the 1985 season with the switch to the wraparound helmet logo and addition of the silver and black trim. Would need to research exact years. Might be sometime between 1973-75. Mattingly was a backup QB with the Riders in '74 and '75. The BC Lions' change from their greatest look in franchise history to those Raider-wannabe uniforms was one of the worst rebrands in sports history. When the club returned to orange and white in '05, it was a cheap version of the '78-'89 look. Now, their uniforms look even worse.

The Edmonton Eskimos pic in 1984 (first one): They had the numbers on the hip from 1983-89ish. Saskatchewan had it for 1986 only, as did Montreal. Hamilton did it from 1985-93?. I am unable to get it depicted with the template I am using for the designs.

They look like practice jerseys! It's like a blue version of the jerseys they wore in the 1950s. Do you know why either team was wearing these? I can't think of any anniversaries that would have occurred in 2001 for either team.
