One run in 14 innings, shades of those choking dog 2007-2008 Cubs here. The weather is not at all conducive to home runs but that's not gonna stop them from swinging for the fences, that's about all they've tried to do for days now.

I’m afraid I’m not familiar with that one. Which means I went for the tried and true, probably overused Hunt for Red October reference.

The Cubs are going to beat the holy living hell out of the Brewers, just you watch.

Better team won.  Cubs are misery to watch.  Bryant in particular looked like he'd rather be anywhere else.

So we’re guaranteed to have the Rockies or Brewers in the NLCS. That’s really cool. It’ll most likely to be the Dodgers sacrificial lamb on their way to a pennant repeat, which is really uncool, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.

I don't see any team in the NL getting past the Brewers and only the Astros on the other side. They've had stupidly good fortune down the stretch if you've had an eye on them -- if you remember those mid-2000s Cardinals teams where the most bizarre occurrences would lead to crooked-number innings, or any Belichick Patriots team, it's been like that.

EDIT: Which is fine, at this point, really. Lots of Brewers fans are the same aggressive meathead suburban bros that Cubs fans are accused of being, but worse because they live in Scottwalkerland, but the ones here aren't like that, so I wish them the best, and the team on the field is easy to respect. Most of all, I want Bob Uecker to call a World Series win.

I’m surprised there is so little faith in the Red Sox. Sure the past couple of years they haven’t performed in the playoffs, but it’s a different team, and has been performing above everyone else. And its not due to just who they have played against
