Sport
I don't even care anymore. Baseball rules and I love baseball so I'm enjoying this world series so far. I figure that at this point what difference is *one* more title for Boston gonna make? Just throw it on the pile. The Red Sox winning another championship for Boston is like Jeff Bezos winning the Mega Millions. Do you people even go to the parades anymore? Normally I'm pro-whichever team hasn't won in the longest time, but while I'm sure there's great Dodgers fans whose drought is in year 30 and it's hard, you're LA and your chances of your team eventually figuring it out is always greater than mine. Eventually the Dodgers will find a way to win the World Series again. I'd bet on it happening within the next 10 years. I want Brandon Phillips to get a ring and I like Benintendi and hope he one day finds his way home to Cincinnati. Also like I said in the forgotten rivalries thread my dad hates the Dodgers going back to the NL West in the 70's and I've decided to join him. Digby
Also as an East Coast AL person, I'm really having my eyes opened to how much people despise the Dodgers. It's nice that that's all flowing somewhere else for once! Despite my general hate for all things LA, I kinda liked the Dodgers because I love Dave Roberts and their ballpark is beautiful and that time they kindly took on all of the Red Sox deadweight in 2012 or whatever that was. This was cute but I'm surprised it happened. Clearly the guy's still a mole for Boston. People still go to the parades and they chant "No Days Off" and "Do Your Job" even though it's a random Tuesday and they clearly took Sully Jr. out of school for the day. Sorry, that's the Patriots parades. Fan Style ShirtsShowcasing fan-made sports apparel by artists and designers

But I think going back home will get them back into it. Hoping for another ‘81. There was a common trend against Price. They started swinging for the fences early, and fell on their faces. They got to him when they actually took pitches and drove him to multiple full counts and drew some walks. Then, when runners are in scoring position? They went right back to dislocating their shoulders swinging at the first pitch.

The Red Sox winning another championship for Boston is like Jeff Bezos winning the Mega Millions. Do you people even go to the parades anymore? Yes, we do. This may sound arrogant and obtuse but this year feels more authentic. You can tell by the crowds at Fenway this series. The Bobby Valentine mess et al over the years really thinned out the pinkhats. While being in the WS will bring them back, the fans attending these postseason games has more of a 2004 feel. Maybe it's the homegrown talent. I know our payroll is 7 billion - but Benny, Betts, JBJ, Devers, Bogarts, Vazquez, all homegrown. Watching them rise through the minors gives us a bigger rooting interest than a bunch of overpriced old guys who manged to click at the right time (like the other 3 WS - 2004 again, was different for obvious reasons). 1 hour ago, Digby said: People still go to the parades and they chant "No Days Off" and "Do Your Job" even though it's a random Tuesday and they clearly took Sully Jr. out of school for the day. Sorry, that's the Patriots parades. Different fan base, and way way more insufferable than than the other 3. People across the country have a tendency to lump all 4 major fan bases into 1. It doesn't necessarily work like that. While there are exceptions, Celtics fans aren't Bruins fans and vice versa -they're a different groups. Bruins fans hate everything and are pessimists. Meanwhile Celtics fans think Kelly Olynyk was the white Bill Russell. The Patriots aren't necessarily a Boston team, they're a suburb team. The Red Sox are probably the only team that everyone in general will root for regardless of sporting allegiance. On a side note: Joe Kelly really picked a great time to reach his fullest potential. Pharos04
Sox in their blue away alts tonight. Guess we won’t get an alt-free series. But being a Friday night game that seems correct for the Sox. i love the opposites in weather. Here in Boston it’s 40° and we have a Nor’easter coming in. It’s in the 70s and sunny in LA. Crazy. Go Sox!

Stop. I’m a Yankees fan so I hate the Red Sox with a passion but I’m not here calling them an overrated team. Quit complaining. They’re an amazing team and likely headed towards a sweep in the WS, so don’t compare them to a relatively lucky Vegas team. If you don’t like them, that’s fine, but just stop complaining all the time. Sometimes a team you don’t like wins. it happens. But sports are supposed to be fun. Just have some fun, or don’t watch God I hate defending the Red Sox. :censored: Boston

Oh I know. They just havent (to my knowledge) changed the designation. Those who know such things as fact, correct me if I'm wrong. I remember when the Pirates wore their black jerseys as their de facto home and road jersey. FiddySicks
Walker Buehler is looking like Orel Hershiser in 88 and I bet the Dodgers STILL lose this game. Red Wolf
If the Dodgers could get a walk-off right now so that this series is interesting and I can go to sleep, I'd really appreciate that.
Pharos04
Crazy how in the AL Park the games were okay with time (4, 3.5) but we switch to the NL Park and we start off with one of these stupid long games that were plaguing the NLCS. Not saying the DH changes things but... *gestures wildly yet tiredly*

masterchaoss
How the hell did Roberts and Turner Ward manage to :censored: up the approach of every hitter in this line up. This Dodgers team is just as talented as Boston and yet they are on the vurge of being down 3-0 in the world series, if this whole staff isn't gone after this series ends I'm gonna be pissed. Dynasty
The Dodgers have been to the World Series 20 times(!) and only won 6 of them. Yikes! That could possibly mean they'd lose 14 of them. Has a team in any other sports league lost more than that?
Pharos04
Dodgers tie it up bottom of the 13th. Why is this game? How can be this? This is the strangest Extra Innings game I’ve ever seen
