I was thinking the same thing. The blue panel that contains the "10" especially looks like a leather purse or automobile interior. And it looks like their Jersey sponsorship will be VICE (Digital Media and Television Network) instead of TELUS which I believe is a Canadian cellular phone service provider. Vice, GRDN studio and the team has been working on the rebrand. Vice has been following the team for the past season and has come up with a bunch of content about the culture of football in Montreal. I wish that if the CFL teams where going to stick with sponsorship that each team get their own sponsors rather than two sponsors for the whole league. Seems like they have said "re branding our uniforms". Yeah, I spent the entire season watching them and wondering why they were bothering, especially with all the helmet decals being one color. Seemed pointless. Still does, come to think of it. I agree, with a new uniform supplier and after the whole season of using the old/minimalist logos now is the time. To be honest, I hope they bring back the wings on the helmet.....it'd be something different for the CFL, make them stand out. Considering it is a nine-team league, it seems pretty ridiculous for 2 teams (especially division rivals) to use a basic letter A as a logo. I can give them a pass if they include the bird, but the A by itself is way too plain. I'd rather see them bring this patch back and promote it to the primary: Just replace the "425" with "MTL", and either throw it on a white/silver helmet, or go with the wings on the helmet.
