It's also hard for me not to believe that they're gonna wear black hats and jerseys for 80+ games, just like they always have since the twilight years of the original logo set. I did some color picker-ing on the photo. 1/3 of the time it was orange, 1/3 of the time it was pink, and 1/3 it was a sort of salmon color. I've got my fingers crossed for the salmon color. It would make for one of the most unique identities in sports and perfectly encapsulate Miami. Would love to see the Heat adopt the Miami Vice colors full time, too. I think the Dolphins could pull it off, as well, but too much history there to try and make Miami a one-color pallette city like Pittsburgh. Like if you were looking out towards the ocean at night and you saw a marlin jump out of the water and the neon lights of the city of Miami quickly glistened off the wet body of the fish. I’m willing to wait and see. Also the Giants' black-on-black alternate hat/BP hat (I think?) was always a fan favorite. If this is the Marlins' new look...a blue hat with a black brim would look pretty sweet, and sort of tie into the 93-95 away hat. An all blue hat might not be bad either.
