Kramerica Industries
Well, those of us who are fans of 20 of the 32 teams who missed the playoffs, welcome. Might as well make quick reference to coaching changes (head coach at start of 2018 listed as the "former"): Arizona: Steve Wilks -> Kliff Kingsbury Cincinnati: Marvin Lewis(!) -> Zac Taylor Cleveland: Hue Jackson -> Fred Kitchens Denver: Vance Joseph -> Vic Fangio Green Bay: Mike McCarthy -> Matt LaFleur Miami: Adam Gase -> Brian Flores NY Jets: Todd Bowles -> Adam Gase Tampa Bay: Dirk Koetter -> Bruce Arians Also, NFL Network's Mike Mayock has been hired as the Raiders GM. So, you know, there's this stuff and all the other ways to complain about the way your team sucks.
Shumway
The Lions have fired Jim Bob Cooter. Now whose name can we laugh at?
GDAWG
I wonder how many Schrute Bucks Mike Mayock was paid to be Assistant to the Regional Manager (Jon Gruden) of the Oakland branch of the NFL?

I wouldn't have guessed he was only 34, and I know what he looks like.

FiddySicks
I’m not even a tiny bit excited about the Bucs getting Arians. Who even cares? They’re going to be a garbage watch no matter who coaches them. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) DG_ThenNowForever
Some of you suck at threads, so I'm moving this here: 2 hours ago, Red Wolf said: Man who failed to get Texas Tech bowl eligible gets NFL head job for no apparent reason. I know Mahomes has been great and all, but that doesn’t mean Kingsbury is a great head coach. I just don’t get this hire. Is Kliff the good-looking one? That goes a long way. I'd rather lose with someone handsome than this guy: 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
See Red
If I was a Cardinals fan, I'd be fine with the Kingsbury hire. I can see him being successful if they give him a good defensive coordinator and he just lets him do his thing. He's a more exciting hire than all of the retreads whose name pop up for every head coaching job all of the time. Broncos are considering Mike Munchak, for example. Ugh. I'd rather they take a shot on someone like Kingsbury.
Sport
So far 3 of the 8 vacancies have been filled and none of my preferred choices for the Bengals have been swiped while it’s looking like the Jets will hire my uncle Mike and the Browns will hire Freddie Kitchens so at least the competition is dwindling so at least there’s that. Everyone is still pretty terrified about the real possibility they hire Hue Jackson. Wouldn’t be jazzed about Vance Joseph either. I really just want someone who’s not been around this team in the Marvin Lewis era. They need a fresh voice worse than anybody in football. Discrim
...and with that, my snowball's chance in hell crack prediction of Mike Leach goes about as well as I'd expected. tp49
Adam Gase to the Jets...what a crappy hire. I didn't expect anything less from their ownership, they didn't disappoint. Jets gonna Jet!
Dynasty
The hell? Gase went to the Jets? Lol okay. If he makes them contenders then I guess the Dolphins were in the wrong the whole time. I still don't think he was very good, but the Dolphins' offensive players were more to blame.
Kramerica Industries
Adam Gase and his 23-25 record in Miami doesn't sound all that terrible as long as you don't mention what their point differential was and realize they could've easily been 5-7 wins worse than what they were, which already wasn't good enough obviously. Quarterback whispering seems to be at an all-time high now. There's only been one hire that hasn't been an offensive-minded selection, Denver, and that's obviously its own kind of deal anyway where, clearly, it's going to be some kind of "Fangio runs the defense and Kubiak runs the offense" kind of deal, where, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it's almost like a co-head coaching situation there just in a way where Kubiak doesn't nearly kill himself again by taking on all the responsibilities of actually having to be the head coach. Almost everywhere else, and especially with the Kingsbury hire more than some of the others, it's all about trying to either unlock disappointing talent or getting future HoF'ers back on track ('cuz Rodgers was fricken' awful by his standards this season, subpar supporting cast or not). Kitchens is obviously a continuity hire and, my goodness, talk about finding yourself in the right place at the right time because I doubt Kitchens was considered a likely head coaching prospect as recently as 12 months ago, to be hired as one this soon. Timing is everything in life, once again.
dfwabel
Kingsbury is going to draft Kyler Murray since Arizona has the #1 overall and Kliff said in October that he would draft Murray #1 if he had the pick. Now that the Athletics believe he'll declare for the NFL Draft, he's more likely to be #1 overall. Nice knowing you Josh Rosen.
