Dexter Morgan 116 Posted January 12 Thought we’d start up a thread for all the branding for 2020. Democrats will have a large field of candidates so we should be seeing a lot to discuss.

the admiral 16,700 Posted January 12 "One nation, one destiny" sounds awfully...uh, how you say, "Teutonic" for a Hispanic Democrat.
Gary. 494 Posted January 14 John Delaney’s D looks like the Obama O
Zeus89725 1,780 Posted January 14 Didn't know Tulsi Gabbard had decided to run. I like her logo the best, thus far.
8993 53 Posted January 15 My rankings (so far): Tulsi - The sun setting/sun rising color scheme really works for a candidate from Hawaii. Great font choice, too. John Delaney - Standard red, white, and blue, so nothing new there, but it is a cool logo. Julian - The box surrounding the name says 'Trump' to me, so I'm not sure it's entirely original. Ojeda - Feels like a grunge logo you'd find on a shirt at the mall in the mid 2000s.
alxy8s 121 Posted January 15 Ojeda's would be my favorite were it not for 1) the wings, 2) the distressed effect, and 3) the fact that the Obama logo will always be the very high standard for candidates with names that start with O. Castro's is nice. Always like the two blues. Good for him for drawing attention to his ethnicity rather than running from it or changing his name to something like, idk, Ted. Crazy that there's already so many, and none of the favorites have announced yet, save for Elizabeth Warren. And when she transitions form committee to campaign, I hope she uses something other than a retooled version of her Senate run's logo. I can't stand it when presidential candidates use their first names on branding.

CS85 6,931 Posted January 15 Ojeda's logo has nice bones, but the distressed stuff is very, eh, tacky. Tulsi's is the clear winner.
Gary. 494 Posted January 15 You get rid of the wings and the logo basically becomes an online college logo
Zeus89725 1,780 Posted January 15 Do you guys think, if he decides to run, Bernie will use his 2016 logo or a new one?
C-Squared 2,216 Posted January 15 I love the accent over the A and the use of a gradient in the first two logos. There isn't a ton of room for "outside the box" elements in political designs, but I like those elements... looks like the standard political toothpaste motif is alive and well in the other two.

pianoknight 2,275 Posted January 15 Ojeda's logo looks like a mashup of traditional Hispanic imagery (eagles, etc) and steroid / crossfit / energy drinks, which I'm sure is part of the demographics he's courting.

No one hits the polls like the "dude I'm not saying I could TAKE McGregor or anything but like if I were drunk and he said something about my friends I could last at least two rounds" guys.
