Team Canada New Kit

Canada is now a Nike country.  I don't recall them having a huge event to reveal their new uniforms, so as far as I know, they debut them relatively quietly with the women's team wearing them for the first time for World Cup qualifying.  And for the first time that I know of, they are wearing black.  I'm guessing it's just an alternate and not the primary.  Hopefully.  They have had black on the jerseys before, including black shorts, but nothing like this.

That doesn't look like a uniform so much. Looks like a placeholder until the new kit is ready.

It's a teamwear it look like VaporKnit, so technically the better one, but like I said in 19/20 Soccer Kits I wouldn't expect dedicated kits for Canada, not for first year.

So they'll replace the US as the team with a uniform that doesn't match their history. At least it's the secondary and not the home shirt.

That almost certainly has to be a placeholder, but it's still worrisome to see it be black and not plain red.

They've used black with every other national team so I'm not surprised. The complete lack of red and numbers centered on the chest still says stand in outfit to me.
