Many of you may know me pretty well off the boards. But I have been on vacation for the week, so I decided not to shave. So here is a picture of myself with the vacation beard. I really don't want to shave this beard. Best I've looked with facial hair in a while.

Gearing up for game one of the Pens - Jackets series. Even grew a playoff beard this year. Lot of good it did.

In honor of the start of the Stanley Cup Final tonight...

I'd be lying if I said I was on the right...

Sporting my new "ink" at Ohio Bike Week. It's airbrushed. Progressive Insurance was doing them for free at "Flo's Chop Shop." Wanted to see what I'd look like with a tattoo before getting a permanent one. I'd never get a real tattoo that looks as silly as the one in this pic. I'm thinking of getting a baseball tattoo.

As a recent tattoo recipient myself, my primary advice is as follows:

1.  Investigate, meet, and vet several artists.

2.  Prepare to spend between $60-$600+ on each tattoo (size/color/etc).

3.  Devil is in the details.  Send your artist numerous inspirations, motifs, styles, and thoroughly describe what you want.

Those are all common sense things, and obviously it's going to not feel great when you get it.  Tattoo guns feel like getting a tiny sunburn, and healing is variable for everyone.

My girlfriend's family owns a ranch and several horses. Before meeting her, I was absolutely TERRIFIED of horses in the same way some people are scared of spiders or snakes (They're basically one of the most skittish animals on the planet and they're about half the weight of your average sedan). She finally has me comfortable with them and I did this for the first time the other day.
