I've been waiting months for the return of the MLB redesign project. :D

:::tears in his eyes::::

I like that logo but I don't think the Cardinals would ever move in a direction that modern. That would have been cool for the Arizona Cardinals though.

Unis?

My thoughts EXACTLY. The cardinal logo would fit very nicely on a helmet, methings. It has a "flow" to it that is very similar to the Carolina Panthers.

IMO, when i think of baseball, i dont think of mean logos.. i.e. fierce faces.(this does not have a fierce face, but looks pissed off)...but in football, i can really see this as a logo.....

i like a lot of the concepts you do, keep them coming...

I just wanna do hoodrat things with my friends.

I think that the cardinals just need a few tweaks and the would have the perfect uniform. I like that you're trying to go modern with baseball. I'm tired of seeing the same things over and over again. Ijust think that the cardinals isn't the right team to go modern with. Try the Nationals.

My favorite of the 3 is the bird by itself, I think that's a great logo. The primary one is great, too. To me, though, you can't really see the STL in that secondary logo. I like the idea, but it's tough to see the STL that it's supposed to be, imo.

i really like this design its solid an pretty cool looking...since you made it understood that this was pretty much an unrealistic change, i'll spare yelling at you for destroying the cardinals classic look. :P

yeah, the current STL logo is pretty iconic. I don't seem to remember you picking a really iconic team up until now.... I would love to see what changes you might make to your logo set to make the classic STL fit -- but hey, it's your project. :P

Keep up the good work, man.

I'm Cards-neutral but I love their uniforms, and can't picture them changing.

But I am also aware of the usual AAO ground rules, so I am thinking outside the box... or at least trying to.

I like the new wordmark - it looks modern but yet retains a mildly traditional, refined look given the style of font. But the "STL" monogram really looks out of place - it's thick and coarse where the wordmark is neither. I'd rather see you go with the wordmark (and bird head) and come up with a monogram more along the lines of the other design marks.

In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.

That's a nice logo. I like the dignified, puffed-out chest. Not sure if it would lend itself to a cap, but its pretty good noneheless. I like the wordmark, as well. That typeface has been one of my favorites as of late, too. See Oregon Chinook. :P

I still don't have a website, but I have a dribbble now! http://dribbble.com/andyharry

As a Cardinals fan, I'd have to say that I like this concept a lot, but not for my team. I think the Cardinals have one of the best logos in all of baseball and don't need to change it. However, this logo would look great with the Arizona Cardinals or even the Louisville Cardinals.

if you could somehow incorporate the gold that you have in the alternate, into the wordmark, that would be spectacular.

actually, the alternate is cool looking, yet kinda hard to decifer too. you gotta kinda look at it twice to figure out what it is. BUT, work with it, cause its got definite potential.

I actually started this back in March or so, but got back to it just now. No unis as of yet, but this is what i've got. This might just spark the resurrection of the MLB redesign proj.

:D

Try that idea for the Cardinals' AAA affiliate, the Memphis Redbirds. I think they need a logo update.

Atlanta Braves, please bring back the Indian Head logo.

Overy stylized bird? Check

Light colored wordmark on solid dark background? Check.

Only half of the wordmark has highlights? Check

Unnecessary and exaggerated serifs? Check.

For a second I wasn't sure if it was an AAO design, but then I went down my checklist and everything's there. It's an okay set, but it's exactly what I expected when I opened the thread. Granted, every artist has a certain style, but I can't help but think that all of your stuff looks alike.
