Sounds like vengance to me.

The thing is, the UN gives equal voice to all, because THAT'S WHAT IT"S DESIGNED FOR!  Every nation gets it's say.  Just because you're bigger and stronger doesnt mean you should own the world.

Communist countries are usually considered "2nd World," becuase of the 1st world military and 3rd world living standard.

Its a sect a large sect of the Islam belief that believes that all non believers in the Koran must be killed viloently.

Wahabism is the largest growning religous sect ion teh world when they say holy war they mean it and unless these people are destoryed we will be destroyed.

I could spend hours responding to some of the b*ll:censored: that has been posted on this topis, but I will restrain my comments to these two topics.

1 Chamberlain was an honourable man, he judged that Britain did not have the military strength to take on Hitler (a perfectly correct judgement BTW). He did not take Hitler at his wordm, which is why Britain began planning for a war with Germany long before 1939. (also I don't recall FDR jumping into a wart with Hitler at the earliest opportunity, and of course there were all those Republicans in the US campaigning to keep the US out of the war altogether, until Pearl Harbor)

Perhaps a few more world leaders should take a few lessons from  WW1 rather than WW2, and only go to war when it really is the last resort rather than a politically motivated act, aimed at showing some kind of masculine bravado to the world. (and yes that was a dig at the President of the USA)

2. Sharon is amongst the biggest threats to world peace alive right now.  He has continued to make the middle east an unstable area, by refusing to treat the PLO, and Yasser Arafat with any respect, (and before anyone mentions how many deaths Arafat is responsible for, go and check on former General Sharon's record on that score) and therefore not giving more militant Palestinian supporters any option but to use violence to answer the state terrorism perpetrated by then Israeli Army against Paletinians in the occupied terrotories.

Let's remember that the soldiers sign up to be in the military, and they know the risk. No one is drafted in. Now I don't want loss of US lives, but they are the ones who signed up to risk thier lives. I find them brave and honorable and the biggest heros on earth for protecting the US.

Now I belive a leader of the Country should be concerened with thier country first and foremost and concerened with the rest of the world in a distant second. I think the US was to involved in the world. I think the US should be more isolated.

As far the war, I support it. We were attacked. So we went in to defeat them. As far as Iraq, while the rest of the world might not have felt they were at risk, the US did. And like I said the US should be concerned with the US first.

And while Saddam might not have been directly involved in 9-11, i think it's naive to think he never contributed money or other things to Al-Quieda or any other terrorist group. No one can say the world isn't a safer place without Saddam.

And to think any Dictator who gased his own people will do something peacefully is idiotic. They won't listen unless you have a gun to thier head.

And as far as listening to France, and Germany. Thier record in war stands for it self (it's not good). I am reminded by the joke: How many men does it take to defend Paris.......

At my high school we have assemblies every Tuesday and Friday.  This past Friday Dr. Harold Baumgarten came and spoke to us.  He was a private on Dog Green Sector of Omaha Beach on D-Day. Dog Green was the bloodiest and most important part of the beach.  On this sector was the road designated D-1 which was the only way up the bluffs from the beach and into France.  Dr. Baumgarten was only one of two who survived D-Day from his landing boat.  He wrote a book about his experiences, too.  Name of book slips me at the moment.

 My school, Westminster, always can get some great speakers.  I think it was eight years ago we had Colin Powell speak, maybe five years ago Reverand Desmond Tutu spoke, and maybe four years ago Evander Holyfield spoke.  Reverand Tutu was awesome.
