Nhl concepts

Hi. I'm new here. I've been posting most of my jersey concepts at FanHome.com. I was hoping I could reach out to even more people by posting here. Anyway, these are a few of my concepts. I'm actually new to the jersey creations business, so these are my first shots. Enjoy! (Copy & Paste) And remember to enlarge the jersey to see it better.

Welcome aboard! Always nice to have another designer here.

I have to say, though, these are pretty good. I'm not drooling with excitement or anything, but they're good. I think overall they seem a bit simplistic, but that's not always a bad thing. I like the reference to the Americans with the Rangers logo. I have to warn you, though, you're verging on blasphemy with that Whalers logo. :) Overall, nice work. Hope to see more of it in the future.

Thanks! Glad to be here. Actually, I aim for a simple jersey when I create them. I don't like jerseys that have a lot going on with them. Thanks for the complements!

You've got a nice old school look going on. The Panthers head looks good (see? all it needed was a stripe at the bottom) I like the sleeves on your Hurricans uniform and your rangers looks pretty good too.

The one thing tho, I don't like the whalers one. I always wanted to do a colour combo like the numbers you have, but I just don't dig them

all and all, this is pretty good

I think the best concept was the Hurricanes.

The Rangers one is a nice one to play around with, but will seem very strange if they ever used it since the were at least partly responsiple for teh demise of the NY Americans.

Chris, I made the inside of the "1" on the Whalers jersey to match the "1s" in the sleeve part. I didn't think it would look good with two color variations in the jersey.

A few gems among those concepts:

That Whalers logo is abso-bally-lutely bitchin'! Where the hell did you get it?

The NY Rangers one is a cute take-off of the Amerks.

Finally, the Blues jerseys could pretty ok.

Otherwise, might I suggest getting a better GIF converter?

Or perhaps, the official team colours?

While the Whaler idea is good--it just isn't as good as the HW logo they used (and you put on the shoulders)

Many are very similar-(but who says they all have to be radically different?)-but the Rangers is quite different--I like it.

I'd like to see more

Aside from the green and blue it reminds me of the Plymouth Whalers logo a little too much.  Maybe it's just that cartoonish feel.

That was a great logo, but I think he knows it since it's his avatar.

I realize that--but it makes me wonder why he made the new idea the primary & not a secondasy or alternate.

Still some solid work here.

I thought I read somewhere that the OHL Whalers logo is the direction Hartford's logo was headed before they moved to Caorlina.

Is this is true then I'm glad they moved before they made the change! :-) I really don't like the current Plymouth Whalers logo.

Not bad

If Hartford change I think fans would have revolted and like the Islanders fishstick jersyes they would of had to go back and bring back the Whale tale.
