DG_ThenNowForever
Arrested Development and Jackson Pollack jokes in one thread. Win all around.Really? Good for Carl Weathers to maintain cultural currency, but I like to think his accomplishments in other TV shows and movies far outshine his cameo appearances on Arrested Development. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

Coast2CoastAM2006
I am hereby proposing to the world that the team change their name to the Jackson Action. The logo shall be of Carl Weathers with a machine gun-bat in one hand, and stew in the other.Logo to come. Or not.Only if the logo includes a shot of Craig T. Nelson driving the Halley.Only if the mascot is Sharon Stone, only circa the time the movie was released. Not a cable classic like Bosworth's "Stone Cold", but that actually was a good film.make it Sharon Stone circa Basic Instinct and you got a winner. Spoilers! TruColor
make it Sharon Stone circa Basic Instinct and you got a winner. Back in '93, I was living in L.A. - in a big gated community right on the border of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood - and living directly across the street/path from me (we're talkin' 50 feet at best) was Sharon Stone. This was post-Basic Instinct, so she was pertty much at the peak of her popularity. One day, I was walking downstairs in my apartment doing laundry, when I heard Sharon - with her blinds open, and the bathroom window wide open - taking a shower. I'm no freakin' Peeping Tom, but yeah, I paused to look.So sue me (!).

cheo25
Something tells me the Jaxx won't be changing their name. I live twenty minutes from their home, Pringles Park, and this is the first time I've heard anything about a possible name change. Plus, the new owners are locals and probably wouldn't want to mess too much with the team's ID for several reasons, laziness being one of them.Although, I would not be against a name change, preferably to the Jackson Generals. The city of Jackson was named after Gen. Andrew Jackson and used to have a Kentucky-Illinois-Tennessee ("Kitty") League team in the 1950's called the Generals. I also think they should keep the colours of green, silver, black, et cetera. (The only foreseeable obstacle to this that I can think of would be that the Jackson State Community College athletic teams are also nicknamed the Generals with similar colours.)Also, right now a Diamond Jaxx/Jack is apparently a diamond miner. However, the original identity of the team suggested a playing card motif. I believe the name was chosen via fan contest. Surprise. I'll get all my logo info and such up soon.Jackson Generals was the Jackson Mets' nickname in the early 1990s. It was an Astros affiliate at the time. Jackson, TN has a LONG history with the nickname Generals for its baseball team. One of the Kitty League's mainstay franchises was named this. YELDARBfield
Here are the jerseys (courtesy of The Jackson Sun):Way too plain for my liking, and I especially don't like the plain white cap with the home pinstripes. (Although, I love that they finally went back to pinstripes.)And for your viewing pleasure, the entire gallery from Monday's game.
