is it confirmed that the Nuggets are officially dropping the light blue home jerseys in favour of navy? or just a logo tweak? I for one think they were one of the only teams justified to have those colors, being a mountain-esque theme and all. I think it would be a mistake.

Light blues are the still the main aways. They've just updated them with navy replacing any royal (or cobalt as I believe it was called) that were on it, and tweaking it to match the template of the navy alts. Just like they did with the homes.

The confusion is in how the Navy fits in. The Nuggets' old colors were a combination of TWO different Light Blues and Gold:

Basically, the Nuggets changed the "Cobalt Blue" - which was the darker of the two lighter Blues to Navy:

Since the Nuggets were using Navy as an alt uniform color anyway (and it was used in their alt "pick-axe" logo as well), it made sense to simplify the color scheme and get rid of the Cobalt Blue.

I may be in the minority here, but I actually liked the way the light blue and cobalt looked together. Gave it some difference from the other navy/light blue teams.

better pics of the horrendous Kings home Js:

I guess putting Sacramento on the home jerseys kills the rumor that they were completely leaving it off any uniform, but why make the lettering white on a white background? Overall, I don't see what's so horrendous about them other than the WNBA font or the goofiness of putting the city name on the home jerseys and the team name on the aways. I sort of like these.

Re: new logos, the New Orleans Hornets' "Hugo" mascot has been changed to more accurately represent the tweaked "Hugo" logo:

The "NOLA" is now on the chest; hard to see but the wings are also modified; and of course he is now "creole blue" instead of teal.

However he is still wearing gloves (as in the old logo) and still features that shock of yellow "fuzz" on top of his head, which has never been in any logo. However, in looking at a media guide, Hugo the mascot has had a shock of fuzz on his head (purple back in Charlotte) since the 1990-91 season-- it wasn't there in '89-90.

It is what it is.

It's almost like Reebok / adidas accidentally switched the wordmarks around. Think about it - black "Kings" on the white jersey, to match the number colors, and white "Sacramento" on the purple jersey. It's like they screwed up and nobody on the Kings noticed (or cared.)

With Chris Anderson and Robert Swift the Northwest division wins the "white guys with the most tattoos" catagory. Swift's are just ridiculous. :P

PS: Where can i find these pics at?

You're not Kidding

PS: Thunder have too many colors. They look like a paint palette. Just pick two or three (preferably not navy, yellow, light blue) and call it a day!

College sports as we know them are just about dead. The lid is off on all the corruption that taints just about every major program and every decision that the schools or the NCAA make is only about money, money, and more money. We'll have three 16+ team super-conferences sooner rather than later, killing much of the regional flair and traditional rivalries that make college sports unique and showing the door to any school that doesn't bring money to the table in the process. Pretty soon the smaller schools are going to have to consider forming their own sanctioning body to keep the true spirit of college sports alive because the NCAA will only get worse in it's excess from here

I went to a college where the men's basketball team had white numbers and letters on their white home jerseys, with only a thin blue outline. At first, I wondered what they were thinking, but they really weren't that bad in person, and I never had any problem making out the numbers (due to that, anyway) in any of the photos I took for the college newspaper. The Sacramento wordmark is even better, because there are two outlines, both in darker colours that make it stand out more. I really don't see the white-on-white as a big deal.

Dude, it doesn't matter how much ink you get - none of it's gonna cover up the fact that you look like Eric Stoltz in Mask.
