Herk
I never thought Fury was a good name. It must be a Michigan thing since Detroit's old AFL team was also the Fury.
Sodboy13
Well, it takes 'em back to their roots... sorta. The real IHL had a Muskegon Lumberjacks franchise, which was purchased for a dollar and moved to Cleveland.Still, the Fury (and their horrid color scheme and identity, with the anthropomorphic tornado logo) have been around for over 15 years. Why change now? And here I had almost blocked the bowl coming off the new, fake Turner Cup as the Komets attempted to skate with it out of my memory. CMUBrent
Well, my Fury jersey is now a throwback. Personally, the Fury should have changed their name to "Muskegon Mohawks" and brought this politically correct mascot back:

CJR
Sweet, my first pro hockey game is possible again (Kalamazoo Wings @ Muskegon Lumberjacks).Never liked the Fury name but they've managed to have some okay jerseys throughout their history. Sodboy13
Well, now here's something interesting. The Muskegon Fury played for 16 seasons. In that time, they won 4 league championships. The Muskegon Lumberjacks played for 8 seasons. In that time, they won 1 league championship. So the Muskegon franchise is, in essence, trading in its history for... a shorter, significantly less accomplished history.Seems right about par for the course for this league, when you break it down like that. CMUBrent
Muskegon looks like they have a pretty good lineup for this year, so the name change shouldn't be as bad as when the Saginaw Lumber Kings turned into the "new" Gears. If it wasn't for that epic fail of a team, the Spirit would probably be known as the Gears.
CityOfWalrus
(cue the Monty Python's "I'm a Lumberjack" song)I'd be surprised if Muskegon didn't use . The cleveland lumberjacks had that as their song for the longest time.

CMUBrent
The lumberjack needs to be introduced to a Norelco razor. Seriously, though, I like it. Nice update to the old logo.
