burgundy
Wow! I didn't realize there were so many closeted Power Rangers fans on this forum. Pretty rad! (Wait, is that 80's or 90's slang?) Closeted? I've got a Black Ranger shirt that I wear all the time.
eRay
Yeah, I wear a MMPR shirt a lot, and never fail, every time somebody says how much they love it. It was a great show back when I was little, and then they ruined it with all the other versions of the story. Lame. At least now they have realized they ruined something great and they are going back to the original. I just hope it doesn't go the same way the TMNT re-hash went/is going. The_Admiral
Can't even watch this show nostalgically/ironically anymore. Blows my mind that it's existed for like 18 years. It was only fun for two. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

It wasn't until I was older that I spotted the subtle racism in the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.I noticed that right away. Of course, I was also looking for reasons to hate them because I was old enough to remember Voltron and saw MMPR for the cheaply produced plagiarism that it was. DelayedPenalty
Also, I guess an original Power Rangers reunion is out of the question, since Thuy Trang, the girl who played Trini the yellow Ranger died a few years ago in a car crash. The rest are alive and kicking as far as I know.Edit: And I believe Zordon is dead too...

tBBP
Here's the pink...Looks like somebody--or a couple somebodys--done been up in the pink...if you know what I mean.Anyway, this thread is bringing back all kinds of crazy memories of my childhood. And I can clearly remember that Dragonzord being the most baddest-ass thing I had seen up to that point. By the way...I'll take the Dragonzord over Godzilla anyday. Add that white brontosaurus-looking thing they had back in those days that shot like six cannons or something like that and you got a no=brainer. *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||
