AkSaber
Yay!! My first post is in a topic about teal. I'm a Mariner fan, and I happen to like teal. It's a big part of the identity of my favorite baseball team. Seeing them slowly move away from it is something I don't understand. I would feel the same way if I were a Marlins fan. At least the M's organization doesn't want to get rid of it completely. But I say what's wrong with being unique? I mean so many uniform redesigns in the 2000s were just awful. Using excessive amounts of black or midnight blue is what's considered original and creative these days.
tBBP
It's actually called following a trend...which is exactly what any graphic designer worth his or her salt is taught not to do. They're supposed to identify them...and move ahead of them. That said, I agree with your last point there, Aksaber. *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||
