Unpopular Opinions

I liked those jerseys. There are a couple of tweaks I would make, but overall I thought they looked good.

The new ones are decent, though the numbers are a crime against humanity.

I did not hate the uniform either. It was kinda odd (the way the side panel almost met the semi-horn stripe on the back shoulder and the awkward nearly-right angle that the piping takes). But so is the new uniform (serifs).

I totally agree that when they went all white or all purple it was a disaster, made worse by the stupid continuing of the side panel color onto the pants. First, what's superior about having the line between purple and white there anyway (as opposed to the waist) and more importantly, when they wore white-on-white (roughly 7 times per year), the stupid purple box on the hip looked out of place. They should not have designed 'em that way, particularly if they were just going to go white-on-white like the Vikings prefer to do.

The collars were not too bad; not gigantic like some of the early Saints/Texans toilet seats.

What I liked best was the color balance. These uniforms show purple as the primary and yellow as the secondary. The current uniforms really marginalize the yellow (particularly the jerseys).

The Reebok set should have not messed with the "blending in the side panels" and should have found a better way to do the piping. But I really don't think it was a terrible set. Plus, by now, they could have kept the essence and maybe ditched some of the mid-2000s trends. So, super-unpopular opinion alert: I like this set better than the current.

What I really wish they would have done is tweaked the 1990s set to keep of with the times. Same good color balance without the mid-2000s goofy trends.

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

I liked that set at first but by the time it was replaced I wanted it gone, especially after 2012 with the Nike neck roll collars. The current set is definitely an upgrade but neither are better than anything they wore from 1961-2005.

The current set is a few tweaks from being amazing. Lose the serifs on the lead number and make the facemask gray or purple instead of black. Maybe add a yellow outline to the numbers but I could live without it.

I was kinda upset when the new ones were revealed after the source that leaked that they were getting new unis said they were "retro and awesome." I thought it would be a update of an throwback like the 49ers and Bills did.

I hated that set so much. It just looked like "me-too" after the Falcons and Cardinals had similar looks. The Falcons' set has had some staying power, but to me, there was nothing particularly unique or interesting about the old Vikings and current Cardinals sets. They look like change for change's sake, and I'm glad the Vikings already got rid of theirs. It'd be nice if the Cardinals did the same -- the Tillman-era uniforms were really spectacular.

I love that uniform. Not really sure why. The dark jersey, along with the Raiders, is about as basic as it gets but I really, really loved that uniform.

Actually, I thought they kept taking steps backwards on the white jersey and my love of it was over when they added the state flag.

I really liked the below set (though by now the sleeves on the white would obviously need to have changed)

I have zero problem with NBA t-shirts if guys keep doing this...

I mean, srsly, who cares about short sleeves when guys are wrapping their limbs in these colourful health bands.

Melo, DHoward, CP3... just quit fooling anyone & grab some speedskating suits if you can't handle shorts & tanks.

Big difference though. The sleeves inhibit full shoulder movement.

That set, with the modern logo, is all the Cardinals need to be. Maybe replicate the road striping at home.

I've mentioned this before, but those Vikings uniforms were great when worn properly (purple over white at home, white over purple on the road).

Their insistence on wearing monochrome combos and the stupid toilet-seat collars ruined it.

Sorry, it just looks so dated. It's typical mid 2000s design. Piping, panels, and stripes from pants to jerseys that never line up when put on actual, moving people.

I think the roads from the Cardinals set were exquisite:

It makes these look almost indefensible:

I think one of the biggest problem for those Cardinals was that they were generally terrible. They had that one good year with Jake Plummer that they made the playoffs, but otherwise, they were generally pretty bad up and until they drafted Larry Fitzgerald. It's hard to erase loser stink, even if you do look like a good football team.

I don't see what others see in Sam Hornish Jr. as a NASCAR Sprint Cup driver and how he still has potential.

I think he's an absolute terrible driver and shouldn't be racing in the Sprint Cup series. He's missing something to really compete.

He strikes me as a Regan Smith type, good in Busch Series, below average in Cup Series

I loved the gray facemasks for the Browns, and I normally dislike gray facemasks for teams without gray in their color scheme (and even some teams that do have gray, like the Cowboys.) But brown and orange are such an old-fashioned color scheme that would never be chosen today for a brand new franchise, so the old-fashioned gray facemask worked.

I never liked the old Hornets' fleur-de-bee at all. It just seemed like a really forced logo. I get that it "made sense" with it being in homage to New Orleans and all, but there's a difference between effectively celebrating your location in a logo, and forcibly pushing your location in a logo. Cramming a hornet into a fleur-de-lis shape, in my opinion, falls into the latter (especially considering how unnatural it looked).

Besides, I always thought the modernized Hugo was a MUCH better logo and should've been featured a lot more than it was. Probably an unpopular opinion in and of itself, come to think of it :P

I've never been a big fan of the red & yellow color scheme for the Rockets, and I think it's slightly overrated. I know they won two championships in them, but if you ask me "name a red-and-yellow basketball team GO," I'll say the Hawks 10 times out of 10. I think they did good by going back to red as the primary, and I'm cool with having a red & yellow alternate, but full-time and forevermore? Nah.

I liked these

Adrian+Gonzalez+Edgar+Gonzalez+San+Diego

Yeah, I miss those too.

is there any pics of these against a home team wearing a cream based jersey? maybe vs San Fran? the colors are kinda similar so im interested to see a matchup of that.

I went to a good handful of Padres Giants games at AT&T when they wore that set, and it was never a problem. That sand color, especially from a distance, was VERY pronounced.
