Except for the brown parts of the real jersey being black on the fake ones. But who would notice that?

Oh, you would! I was at the Boston Bruins Legends Game (day after the Winter Classic) and some people had the real jerseys, while others had the knockoffs of the Winter Classic Bruins jersey. The fakes stood out like a sore thumb in comparison.

I gotta say, I'm all about cheap jerseys, but if it looks like crap, you might as well just spend $15 on a t-shirt. I've thought about doing this, and have come close, but some of the numbering is just awful. They can't seem to match-up the two sides of a baseball jersey either.

That's crap. Anyone can wear a jersey, just don't tuck it in.

I recently bought a fake Milwaukee Bucks M&N jersey ('84 Bob Lanier), which cost the equivalent of $25. Compared to the authentic version I have, it's actually better quality (everything sewn on, which is technically inaccurate, better quality material & stitching). It almost seems a shame to cut it up - I only bought it so I could use the side panels on a custom jersey I'm making.

Odd thing for a member of the CCSLC to say.

Block/Penguins number font hybrid, and a very large pseudo-Leafs font nameplate.

Very awful.

What's the deal with this one? Besides the number font looking slightly off and the obviously thin fabric?

It shocks me how few fans can actually spot a fake jersey. I was at Ravens training camp and one woman was going on and on about how her daughter was in Korea and they have authentic jerseys for only $15. She pointed out that her son had a Ray Lewis one they bought. It didn't look even close. Honestly it made the jerseys on this site look amazing. The fonts were all wrong, the bird head logo was on the sleeves instead of the Baltimore shield, and the material looked more like a hockey jersey than a football jersey. I'd never pay $250 for an authentic jersey, but I'd rather do that than pay $15 for that piece of crap.

Just an observation...

Saints play Vikings here in town tonight.  Thousands of people lining the streets; hundreds wearing jersey.  So, I decided to take a count  on my 10 block walk through the Quarter to the bank.  Now, keep in mind, this is an unscientific poll, but I do consider myself pretty certain when it comes to spotting authentic jerseys to replicas and/or fakes.

I counted 66 jerseys with sewn on numbers/letters.  Of those 66, I am quite certain only 2 were authentics.  The rest were not authentic, nor premier (I did not count the screen printed replicas).

So, I think it might be safe to say most people don;t care if their jersey is authentic or a replica/fake.  They just want something that closely resembles the on field jersey, and at what they (the consumer) deems a reasonable price.  Again, just an observation...

Even if I had no idea what the jerseys are supposed to look like, these sites would just not get through my BS detector.

I go to high school right outside of minneapolis. I counted more than 66 vikings jerseys and I'm almost certain no more than 2 were authentic :) the shiny numbers give it away so easy. i did see one $20 jersey (I asked) that looked legit. It looked great.

I have a Darrelle Revis jersey I got off a site called styleJerseys.com, and I'm pretty sure it's authentic. It

has high quality material and I got it for less than $20 (the shipping cost a fortune, though).

They're counterfeit, plus considering its also your username, looks like spam to me.

Maybe you shouldn't use the same name of a website you're trying to peddle. Seriously, a Zito Giants "jersey" is clearly a T-shirt
