Warning: Before reading this, please note that the rather contraversial rules are subject to change. Please refrain from posting facepalms, LOL symbols, or any othe symbol of your dislike of this thread. Seriously.

Alright, now that you've read the warning on to the rules. I have decided to make a little game similar to the 'NFL Weekly Pick'em' thread. You post your predicted regular season standings (you are encouraged to predict records; it will give you more points). Then, you will pick the postseason results based on your regular season predictions (predicting the final result of the series is encouraged). There will be a point system posted below. This system will determine the winner. And remember, it is subject to change. I will be asking that you tally up your own points. Also, you are free to change your predictions whenever you want up until Opening Day. Thanks for reading and I hope some of you chooseto play along.

no way the Sawks sweep the SOX in 3.

Well, let's look at the matchups:

Buehrle vs. Beckett. BOS wins 9-7. Shootout in Fenway.

Peavy vs. Lester. BOS wins 3-2. Great matchup, but Fenway pushes Lester to the win.

Lackey/Buchholz vs. Floyd/Danks. BOS 5-2. No contest, Sawks sweep.

And part of it is my White Sux hatership. :P

Giants vs A's World Series. Just before the start of game 3 at AT&T Park a massive earthquake will strike, forcing them to cancel the series and awarding the championship to both teams.

I can still dream, right? :P

no way the Sawks sweep the SOX in 3.

Well, let's look at the matchups:

Buehrle vs. Beckett. BOS wins 9-7. Shootout in Fenway.

Peavy vs. Lester. BOS wins 3-2. Great matchup, but Fenway pushes Lester to the win.

Lackey/Buchholz vs. Floyd/Danks. BOS 5-2. No contest, Sawks sweep.

And part of it is my White Sux hatership. :P

yeah well at least my team has won in the past 103 years, anyway those matchups could easily go the other way, and if Peavys healthy we'll send him out in game 1 not 2. Game 3 no contest? What? Floyd/Danks are just as good if not better than those two.

I don't feel like making a full list of all the divisions, so I'll just predict that the Greinke and the Brewers will shock the world and beat the Red Sox in the World Series.

Let's just say you'll either come in dead last...or win the whole thing. And are you sure that the Nats rotation stacks up better than Philly?

The Phillies rotation is rather suspect... I mean one of their starting 5 hasn't even won a Cy Young or a LCS or WS MVP.

Oh Joe Blanton... how I hope you choke on your next cheesesteak.

My Phillies prediction is the hardest one for me to defend (well, with the exception of the Washington prediction, I guess). I just keep suspecting that one or two of the Philly starters will get hurt. I definitely don't want that to happen, but I just have a feeling that "Murphy's Law" might afflict the Phils this season.

Even as a Phillies fan, I certainly would worry a little about how well all four can do. Some of the predictions earlier with them winning 110 or more games is too much. HOWEVER, if the Phillies don't win the division, it certainly won't be the Nationals doing it.

Dude, I as a Cardinals fan, I appreciate your optimism, but I unfortunately don't see it playing out like this. Yes they do have a chance to win the division, but it'd be more with a total of around 90 wins or so. And the Nationals winning the East? Highly unlikely. They made some decent moves, but they're still more at a middle of the division level at the moment. Might I remind you, Stasburg is out for awhile. Seems like he might actually pitch this year, but it's gonna be awile before he's back. It's gonna come down to the Phillies and the Braves in that division.
