MidnightSun
Guys I hope you know that these pictures are from a game that was rescheduled for noon because Miami was being hit with Hurricane Irene later that day. Miami does draw poorly but there is good reason there were few people in the seats that day.As am I.They'll probably sell tons of new caps to the 59fifty collector/fashion crowd. Even some of the "new" fans they pick up from the move South and the adaptation of the flashier, sexier "Miami" name. But not to real Marlins fans. Both of them? Seriously, the Marlins are just about the best team to experiment with a new look. They don't have a sizeable and devoted fanbase to alienate. Heck, looks like the Brewers have more fans in that crowd.
CubsFanBudMan
And here's Detroit. This is why the Pistons should return to teal, red and black immediately. They wore those colors around the time they won three titles. Not when they actually won titles, but in the general vicinity, and for just a few years. Just like the Marlins! It's history! I remember reports of sub-400 crowds going back at least as far as 2007. It's not like that was a one-off caused by Irene. The person who hand-counted 347 people in the stands at the impending-hurricane game said at the time that it wasn't even the smallest crowd he'd seen at the park. CubsFanBudMan
I've been to a lot of Marlins games and I once sat in the first row of the upper deck and counted just over 500 in 2002 on a Monday night. It does happen.

TruColor
The Sharks original look was outright the best implementation of teal in pro sports. They chose the perfect shade of it. The Hornets and Marlins IMHO still had a bit too much aqua/green in it to make it work, which is why they aged quicker and seemed more gimmicky than San Jose. The Sharks could have stuck with their original color set and still seemed up to date. And...the Hornets and original Sharks used the same exact shade of Teal: <--->

29texan
I see orange, blue, yellow, even black. The Marlins new colors are good by me.Is it bad if the first thing I thought of when I saw that pic was a really high quality Grand Theft Auto: Vice City screenshot?Look, that's all well and good, but the colors of the city during an evening shot shouldn't be the best way to pick colors. Look at the Rangers. They're in Arlington, between TWO major cities:Just imagine the mess that would make.
McCall
Why do you have to choose colors based on the city at night? How about the mascot? Look at a pic of a marlin jumping out of the ocean. What colors do you see there? https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall

Kinda easy to make a stadium look even emptier by taking a photo from the top of a closed section and looking down.

TBGKon
Are there going to be any renovations to Dolphin Stadium to eliminate baseball configurations? Do they need to in order to improve football/soccer experiences?Joe Robbie/Pro Player/Dolphin/Landshark/SunLife Stadium was purpose built as a football stadium that could host baseball. I've been there for both events, and would have to say that not much is necessary.

Jota Pee
http://blog.musicskins.com/wp-content/uploads/moves-like-jagger.jpg The Marlins should buy off Maroons 5's logo. It's a lot better then the crap that was leaked out.
