Ez Street
I've been interested lately in getting a copy of my family Coat of Arms. My uncle was able to get me a copy that is our "official" Coat of Arms. Apparently there are variations.... It looks similar to this:I've decided to make my own Coat of Arms specifically for me and my family. I'm currently in the idea phase and will hopefully have something show to soon. I wondered if anyone else out there wanted to either share their family coat of arms or if anyone had designed one of their own.Feel free to post yours. @DavidStreeter

They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy. Ez Street
The one I'm working on will have elements of my family coat of arms, but also have things representing people in my life, my place of residence, my heritage and so on.I want to do a hybrid of making it look like the Coat of Arms style, but give it that modern "logo" type look to it, if that makes any sense....We'll see if I can achieve my goal on it. I've got a "dumbed down" sketch I'm working through in illustrator and hope to refine it from there. @DavidStreeter
Thunderfan23
My last name is actually Schawe, but I have been unsuccessful in finding a coat of arms. But my mother's maiden name is Robinson so I'll post this one.

Shmee
I love heraldry, flags, and all this stuff. That's my family's coat of arms, which we have on a few items around the house and I have emblazoned on a big Irish flag in my room. I see the name stylized as O'Meehan when I look up a lot of history, but I figure someone decided to drop the O' on the way through Ellis Island. It's rare to find O'Meehan in the US, but there are Meehans everywhere. The world's foremost practitioners of professional tag-team wrestling. Pharos04
I've designed my own mostly for fun, taking various elements from symbols that I enjoy as well as my own creationsThe flag is my own design from when I was younger, which I then incorporated into a unique shield design. The creature on the left harkens to the lion from Great Britain's royal arms, but is in actuality my take on a Chimera, a creature whose body was half of a lion, half goat, and had the tail of a snake and breathed fire. The creature on the right is that of an Enfield, another mythical creature which, according to wikipeda, "having the head of a fox, forelegs like an eagle's talons, the chest of a greyhound, the body of a lion, the hindquarters and tail of a wolf." The motto on the bottom is Swedish for my personal mantra "We are right in every wrong thing we do". The hand holding the sword is taken from one of my two Scottish clans, the Gunn clann. Firefly
Aussie surfer Mick Fanning uses my family's crest as his logo (though it should be a yellow or orange shield instead of the blue seen here).I only know of him because my brother is into surfing and he bought a pair of Mick Fanning flip-flops that have a bottle opened on the sole (great for drinking as long as you don't step in ). FiddySicks
This is mine. I have it tattooed on my back with the initials of my parents and my grandparents (sans my fathers dad, because he never knew him) in the shield. The saying essentially means to the best of my abilities. burgundy
Due to adoptions and names just not having a coat of arms, I had to go back a bit.I had to go back 3 generations, to my maternal grandmother's mother, to find my most recent coat of arms:Although, my family seems to have dropped the O when they came to the US.And just for schnitzengiggles, I'm going back 10 generations, to the mid 1600's, through my maternal grandfather's side:
