infrared41
I actually like the idea of ref/linesman cards, in a strange way.Same here. It's kinda cool to see them get some attention. Also, I have that Jim Belushi card around here somewhere. If memory serves, it came in a pack of hockey cards I bought at a Big Lots.

They're part of the game, and in a lot of cases you get to know their on-ice personality, and differences in how they call games. You develop favorites and ones you hate, just like players. leopard88
This topic can't exist without:I've got a copy of that one in my desk.My favorite odd one is from the mid-late '70s. Instead of airbrushing the uniform, the entire picture was paint/airbrush. I could swear it was Rick Wise, but I've never been able to find a picture of it. Also, the deep recesses of my brain tell me that it was a '77 or so (though I am hardly positive). lbr218
I just love the ones where the player has a funny name. I know it's not specifically the card, but I can never get over "Rusty Kuntz" and "Dick Pole."Some of my other favorites are: "Why would anybody ever eat anything besides breakfast food?"-Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), Parks and Recreation

Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy. loogodude90
This isn't an error card or anything, but I think it's kind of odd to have a baseball card picture of a pitcher doing something batter/running related. The Fleer '91 Tom Glavine card had a picture of him sliding into home.
