nuordr
We have many topics going on right now, best uniforms NCAA, weekly reports from the NFL, uniform combos we would like to see, but I do not recall ever talking about the best football field designs. Here are a few that I absolutely love and a couple that I hate. Anyway please show us some visuals from your favorites and not-so favorites. Please do not post just your favorites, but good looking field designs of all teams. ThanksFavorites1. Cincinnati Bengals - I love their endzone design and the leaping Bengal at the 50-yard line. 2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - This is a nice flawless design. 3. Seattle Seahawks - I am not quite sure they use this design anymoreThey are not using this design this year, but the endzone with the blue looks great on the field with their beautiful logo at mid field. 4. Atlanta Falcons - The logo at mid-field makes this field look amazing. The text in the endzone has a great font. Worst1. Pittsburgh Steelers - No logo at mid-field, lines in one endzone just makes this a mess for a NFL team. I understand a lot of it is because of PITT playing there, but they could fix up the field between Saturday and Sunday. 2. Miami Dolphins - Before the Hurricanes made this their home stadium, the field looked decent with Dolphins script in the endzone, but not it is just a boring MIAMI font. Sport
The Bengals field looked good when they first put the field turf in, but it's faded drastically since then. I think it's time for a new rug in Cincinnati.I really like what Maryland did with their endzones. What looked garish on their football uniforms looks great on the field. wyopokes2
The unique field numbers, black boundaries, and red endzones make this easily my favorite college football field. Â Â
Bmac
I believe Pittsburgh has added their logo at midfield. During the Pitt/USF game the midfield logo was a circle with the Pitt wordmark inside, so I assume that means it is the Steelers circle logo during their games. https://www.behance.net/bmatukewic8043
Punch
To me, most NFL field designs are pretty cookie-cutter. There is nothing to them, really - end zone design, mid-field logo, maybe grass patterns. However, one field that I really hate is this:I'm not sure if this is their current design, but I have never liked the NFL logo at mid-field. It's like Carolina is trying to remind their fan base that they are, in fact, an NFL team. The end zones are also a bit cluttered, what with the messy "Panthers" wordmark, the helmet, and the NFC logo. This looks exactly like Chicago's end zones (which I can accept because the shoddy Soldier Field turf overshadows any flaw in graphical design). Sport
Really? I love the Panthers field. I think that's an old pictureI've heard that the reason they use the NFL logo at the 50 is because the owner, Jerry Richardson, keeps it there to show his loyalty and appreciation to the league that helped him gain his fortune. I think that's an old pictureI've heard that the reason they use the NFL logo at the 50 is because the owner, Jerry Richardson, keeps it there to show his loyalty and appreciation to the league that helped him gain his fortune. Now that is a better looking field. That picture also illustrates one of my favorite field design elements: the alternating light/dark grass pattern. I know that it is used by most teams, but it looks and feels so crisp and clean. I'm glad that the Metrodome now uses an alternating pattern, now if they could just paint the end zones purple and put out a better product....That's an interesting story behind the mid-field logo. Has it always been like that? I can't remember a time when there was anything else there.

I hate the fact that they have the NFL logo at midfield. We all know they are an NFL team and they don't need the shield to prove otherwise. MJWalker45
I like Cleveland's current end zone design but liked the previous ones better. Cursive design is definitely different. I also like how Green Bay uses only outlines of wordmarks during preseason. Other teams have even started copying that. Â Â

TBGKon
I know it's hard to see here, but I've always liked it when the Bucs have a full red painted endzone. It's done occasionally when the Bucs have a home game late in the season after the Outback Bowl.

Lights Out
THE BEST EVER Beat me to it! In all seriousness, the blue turf is the only field I have a strong opinion on... and I love it. I've never had a problem watching a game on it on TV. POTD: 2/4/12 3/4/

andycumbee19
I like fields with designs that take up the WHOLE End Zone, not half of it.And I may be biased, but this is my favorite. Â

PhlyBoy
But then there is Good Ol' Rocky Top ...Doesn't get much betterAlways have loved this, but what bothers me is that the end zone squares don't go all the way to the end lines. I never understood that. you see that sometimes in bowl games too. If any anyone can explain this to me that'd be awesome
