Thanks to ColorWerx, who put the new Dodgers graphics on his blog.

The new Dodgers logo is slightly thicker, with smaller upstroke on the end of the "L".

I think it's actually a decent improvement.  And it still bothers me that the Dodgers' official files don't use anything close to Dodger Blue.

So is the sleeve logo on the jerseys changing too? The pictures listed on the ColorWerx Blog look like the older LA.

Or maybe I'm wrong, the difference is very subtle.

Those sleeve patches are the new logo.  As you say, subtle.

Wonder why they thickened it. It just makes it look like the old one got out of focus...

I suspected that they thickened it to make it look more like the actual New Era's puff embroidery.

Wouldn't have noticed it, and it's nothing that I care about because it looks basically the same.

I liked it "skinnier and longer" but it's fine.  Nothing with nothing.

I was going to say, I wouldn't be surprised if New Era didn't change a thing with their cap logo.  "Oh, you made some subtle changes? Whoopsies!"

Poor color translation in Illustrator, most likely.  They never officially went away from Dodger Blue, but all the graphics are in that lighter blue.

So they bolded the "LA" linkage? I guess it was done to appease to all the fat fans in the pavilion seats.

I've always thought the cap logo would look a lot better if it had a very thin outline around the edges, with the negative space being blue.
