TornadoGTS Posted January 21, 2012 Share Posted January 21, 2012 I downloaded the latest logosheet the other day for the Gators and noticed that they made some changes. On the primary, they dropped the light green on the gator's chin and replaced with the regular green:To me, this a downgrade. It takes away the lighting/depth and makes it look like one big green glob IMO. The thing is, they kept the light green on the underbelly of the standing gator logo, so now they aren't even consistent. Other changes include: dropping the block F, the wordmarks are all the same letter height, and the slanted "F" loses the dropshadow and gets an outline Facebook: CustomSportsCovers Twitter: CSCovers Quote No because when the Irish came to Ireland and first came in contact with the leprechaun people, they didn't take their land away and force them to move west. The light green made the chin look recessed, while the regular green makes it look like it sticks out.In real life, the original colour is correct. raysox Posted January 21, 2012 Share Posted January 21, 2012 Yeah, I've seen a cool version of the Gators logo in just blue and white before, that the Lacrosse company I did work for has done. It's pretty much a simplified logo, and white instead of green. This removes that weird-looking intersection where the white at the top and bottom of the jaw broke the blue outline. Haha, I seriously saw something changed in the green, as if it got lighter but I didn't notice.Personally, the green they're using looks atrocious with the blue outlines.
