Oregon beat those teams.

And I think we're going to be a different offense this year. Both QBs have the potential to rush for over 1000 yards, and we're going to have a better receiving core, which leads me to think that this team will be BETTER than last years team. Mariota will take the nation by storm next year.

"Giving headaches" does not always mean "won."

You claim LSU did not have an offense, as evidenced by the National Title game with Alabama. Yet I wonder how they beat Oregon by two touchdowns? Putting 40 points on the board isn't an accident. Further, the Rose Bowl against Wisconsin was an Old West shootout, with Oregon just getting the luck of the draw and scoring last.

Chip Kelly has an innovative offense, but it's gimmicky. I give him credit for creating a fast-paced technique, but Oregon's defense costs them games. Kelly is of the mindset that you can merely "outscore" your opponent, yet when he's faced good offenses (Stanford, Wisconsin, USC), his defense has not rallied and those games turn into shootouts.

They make for electrifying highlight reels on SportsCenter, but it's not a very stable coaching philosophy, especially when other Pac-12 teams are figuring out the Oregon "system."

They also need to stop relying so much on the running game. Boise State dominated Oregon in '09 simply by shutting down LaMichael James and LeGarette Blount. If anything, that game exposed Oregon. They were outgained 164-34 in rushing yards, and their offense looked horrible. It was the same story when they played Auburn - outgained 254-75 in rushing yards. LSU - outgained 175-95 in rushing yards.

You can't stop De'Anthony Thomas. (well unless he fumbles...but) You still can't stop him, he's too fast.

Just ordered student season tickets for Arizona State football. It includes all home football games, priority on away games, all basketball/baseball/ect games as well. Total price? $150. Can't wait for this season.

What has hurt us is Darron Thomas didn't have much running ability. Sure, many people kept on saying defenses had to keep an eye on that, but he wasn't fast enough to really keep defenses honest. Sure, he COULD run, but he didn't fit into Oregon's offense as well as people said he did. This is why Thomas left for the NFL: he had two QBs who were better fit for the ofense that he ran. Granted, I would not have put Bennett ahead of Thomas last year, or maybe even this year. He wasn't as much of a leader that Thomas was, and he was too innacurate. However, now that we have a QB who can run AND pass well (Mariotta), I think we'll finally be able to fully open up the potential of Chip Kelly's offense.

All of that was free when I was a student at South Carolina. Not bragging, just thinking that is odd- although I like the idea of students paying as it makes them more responsible for showing up and it brings a little extra revenue to the program.

FCS playoffs will expand from 20 to 24 teams in 2013, three at-large bids and one automatic bid for the Pioneer League.

That's a joke. The playoffs are getting way too watered down and if a Jacksonville, Drake, or Campbell ever make the playoffs they will get run out of town worse than the MEAC would (they have never won a playoff game, to my knowledge)

That's because there hasn't been a Pioneer League team in the playoffs since the league's formation in 1991, ya blockhead.

There have been teams from this league that have been passed over, like Jacksonville, San Diego and Dayton. They have been dying to get in and now they have a chance. That's all they been asking for. A chance to prove themselves against the best the FCS has to offer. Now, they have that chance.

Lucky you guys. At UGA we pay around $40 for student football tickets for the whole year. Which isn't bad compared to $150. I've heard of some of the Big Ten schools being around $40 a game! Wow.

You're the lucky one.....student season tickets were $50-$60 when I was there. Hell, it was $63 as recently as 2007.

South Carolina just has a "Student Activity Fee" that is included in every student's tuition...to cover athletic events, facility maintenance, intramurals, etc. So basically you ARE paying for it (as you would know), it is just hidden I suppose...or just not as explicit.

I was talking about the MEAC, of course the Pioneer League has never had a team in. The only Pioneer team I can remember that would have won a playoff game was the San Diego team (2006 maybe?) that was coached by Jim Harbaugh that featured Josh Johnson at QB. When the Pioneer League gets a team in, they'll just be a sacrificial lamb.

Wow, our tickets are $99 for the season which is the same price as last year and we have one less home game. And I think basketball tickets run you around $150 for the season, but I've never bought the student tickets.

Well, it's actually not a bad package deal. Not only does it include all sports, but it also includes two guest passes for all football games except 3 (Missouri, USC, Arizona), and it includes some nice discounts for Cardinals, Diamondbacks, Suns, and Coyotes games. Discounted NFL tickets of any kind are great, baseball is my favorite sport, I need an excuse to go to more basketball games, and I'm assuming I'll probably make money going to Coyotes games as tickets can't really get any cheaper :P

I'm game. I'll take the "Over". Raise the stakes.

It was more of an exaggeration/joke on how Georgia has under preformed since 2005.

2006: Pre season 15, finished 23

2008: pre season 1, finished 13

2009: pre season 13, finished unranked

2010: pre season 23, finished unranked with a losing record
