The existence of Melanie Iglesias and Kate Upton.

Seconded, along with Brooklyn Decker.

Oh yeah, Kate Upton is a Michigan fan. We win.

YES! YES! YES!

Where was this heard? I actually saw on the news yesterday, during a feature, that she is a proclaimed Georgia Bulldogs fan. Maybe she's like every other girl I've met...in which case, they can't make up their minds.

On college gameday Saturday, Michigan guard Zack Novak said she was a Michigan fan. Enough proof for me.

Really guys?

I mean... really? Did this thread also need this sort of antagonism?

The inclusion of the :P was meant to indicate that I was just messing around.

I was too. I thought everyone understood that.

I guess I could see how the ":P" could be conceived as CRichardson sticking out his tongue to taunt the Canuck faithful rather than just to indicate "I'm kidding here", though.

Here I am having a bit of a down day and then I see those two clips. Thank you. Medicine and human determination, even with their imperfections, are wonderful things.

This was such an incredible clip to watch, that I went to Youtube to read the comments even though Youtube comments are completely worthless. The comments were worthless, but I did find this cool clip from when this same girl was on Ellen very soon after her implant. She explains how she talks so well and how they paid for the implant(s).

I first saw that story on an episode of NY Ink when she went in for a tattoo. They showed clips of it and afterwards I went on YouTube and found it. It was pretty moving.

She has a remarkably clear voice for someone who could not hear before.

She has a remarkably clear voice for someone who could not hear before.

Not to mention a remarkably clear grasp of inflection, timing, pacing, etc. with her speech. When I saw the original clip, my first question was how did she immediately know what words sound like? Kind of like a blind person given sight wouldn't immediately know what red is.

Maybe she underwent speech therapy in preparation beforehand?
