The new Marlies jerseys are just a rehash of the Leafs' current jerseys

It's all they needed to do. Would have liked to see the crown/leaf alternate return on the shoulders though.

Their new third jersey:

^If that doesn't show, here's a link. It will be worn at every Sunday home game.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

As an FYI that we will all want to know about...

During the 2004-2005 lockout replica jerseys were being sold for $25 by Christmas time. Keep an eye on it, we may see similar deals.

I too took advantage of this. I remeber getting several of the new 3rd jerseys at the time (Atlanta, Edmonton, Columbus) for $25-$35 on shop.nhl.com and Authentics were faily cheap aswell I got a Canucks 3rd for around $60. HOWEVER, the rumor was Reebok was going to be taking over the jersey supply starting the next season and the original EDGE jerseys were rumored to be used when the NHL came back, so I think it was more a way to move units and open up some inventory for a change that was expected to happen that didn't. I think there might be some discounts this season, but probably not to the same extent we saw before. Just my two cents.

I like that new alternate for the Marlies. Not sold on the home/away, a big part of me is always disappointed when the minor affiliate uses the parent club's jersey template. I don't want everyone to be the Milwaukee Admirals but some originality would be nice.
