Have we ever seen the modern Cubs logo with the "UBS" in blue like this before?

It's because Epstein aquired UBS as the official banking sponsor of the Chicago Cubs as soon as he signed on, all the Cubs logos are gonna look like that now...

No, that was totally made up - probably just a screw up at the sign shop...

As far as Cubs logos go, I wish they'd just use the "walking cub" as their primary logo and on uniforms, reture the "UBS" logo, and call it good.

As a Cubs fan, I love the "UBS" logo and think it needs to be more prominent.

For me, I'm the exact opposite. I really don't like that walking cub logo, and I wish they'd just use the "ubs" logo.

However, if they were to bring back one of these, (logo 1) (logo 2) then that would be awesome.

Oh, and as for the variation posted above, I actually like the look of it.

The Cub Head alternate needs to be brought back sooner rather than later. It's miles better than the walking cub.

There are no good Cubs alternates involving bears. Just use the flag of the city of Chicago on the sleeves and only use the primary or cap logo.

(I'd love to use a matching Chicago road script, but I don't have the artistic skills. This block font is better than the ugly stretched font they use now, anyway.)

I feel like there was a similar thread a few months ago or more, with a similar parking sign for a Cubs employee with that same logo.

I thought I was the only one who liked the Cubs infamous "Cuba" jersey.

Yeah, way to kick Cubs fans when they're down. "Bad enough you haven't won a World Series in over 100 years, but now we're gonna make you look like crap, too."

The Cubs home uniforms are nearing on classic status and don't need to change. The roads could use some tweaking, though.

I think the Cubs' home uniform is overrated and honestly pretty ugly. The "UBS" logo is really, really bad, and looks like a gas station logo. And getting rid of the thick blue sleeve trim was a big mistake.

As for the "Cuba" script, I have never once read it as anything other than "Cubs", and I think it looks great.

I wish they'd bring the red bill back to the road alts. I don't know why they got rid of it in the first place, always looked fantastic. The uniform they have to ditch is the blue softball team alternate.

Well I don't like that the Yankees chest logo doesn't match the cap logo, so let's put the Yankees script on the front.

And before you rip me apart, the Yankees started putting the NY logo on the jerseys in 1936. Cubs went back to the UBS logo in 1937. Cubs home unis (and logo) are just as untouchable.

Now, if they decided to put the "Cuba" script (which I also have always read as "Cubs") on the blue jersey like in the early '90s, I'm all for that.

I have grown up pretty well saturated with the Chicago Cubs logo, so of course I see nothing wrong with it. I think the home whites are outstanding: pinstripes are a classic baseball motif, royal blue and red together are about as pure a color combination as you can have, the hat is a classic, and the curvy numbers rather than athletic block are a neat little bit of the same timeless modernism seen in the Bears. No reason to change.

Sometimes I wonder if the blue cuffs should come back, but I don't think they lend themselves to today's looser fit. There should be a blue alternate, but with the Cubs primary and only in road games.

Sleeve trim on pinstripe uniforms look extremely amateurish and 70's-80's-garish. Flat out ugly. Their home uniforms absolutely do not need to be altered except maybe swapping sleeve patches.

I'm surprised so many Cubs fans dislike the walking cub logo. It's one of my favorite logos in all of baseball.

I also don't care for the walking cub logo. I prefer the cub head logo, which would look especially good on a road jersey if done correctly:

Perhaps combined with this mark on the front:

I honestly don't see what's up with the hate about the Cubs logo/jerseys. I think they've got one of the better looks in baseball.
