marble21
Alphas an Lambos as police cars? That's insaneCorrect me if I am wrong, but I believe the Lamborghinis were donated to the italian police to commemorate a certain anniversary and there are only a few of them. prof
There are only a few of them, that's right, just 3, but they're used for transporting organs. Alfa Romeo instead are used every day in the Italian's cities. From wikipedia:In December 2004, two L140 Gallardos were donated to the Italian police in honour of the force's 152nd anniversary, one came from Automobili Lamborghini SpA while a second was donated by an independent organization. The Gallardo Police Cars are used by the traffic police (Polizia Stradale) during emergencies and alarm situations on the Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway, also under the powers of the special safety operative which is already being employed along that tract of highway and, above all, for the transport of body organs destined for transplantation. GuitarPunk2512
in suffolk county new york, the traditional cruiser is the ford crown vic and it says "suffolk police" on the sides, just recently a few new cruisers showed up, i think theyre the new ford interceptor model and the space between wheel wells is too close to fit the "suffolk police" so now it just says "POLICE" in giant letters with "suffolk county" in small lowercase white lettewrs bellow it. i wish i had a picture but i only see it at night at a red light and i think its against the law to take pictures of police cars or somethign like that lol.heres a link with the old car and new car in the shop, best picture i can find.http://www.newsday.c...r-way-1.4257870heres the new cruiser:http://images.search.yahoo.com/images/view;_ylt=A0PDoKxdjvRQbxIAPTiJzbkF;_ylu=X3oDMTBlMTQ4cGxyBHNlYwNzcgRzbGsDaW1n?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fimages%3Fp%3Dsuffolk%2Bcounty%2Bpolice%2Bnew%2Bcruisers%26n%3D30%26ei%3Dutf-8%26fr%3Dyfp-t-701%26tab%3Dorganic%26ri%3D22&w=1600&h=1195&imgurl=img844.imageshack.us%2Fimg844%2F1778%2Fimg20342.jpg&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Felightbars.org%2Ff79%2Fsuffolk-county-police-ford-interceptor-39115%2F&size=294.3+KB&name=%3Cb%3Esuffolk+county+police+%3C%2Fb%3Eford+interceptor&p=suffolk+county+police+new+cruisers&oid=6abf15534f6e122d4c8b92f7ad0ae598&fr2=&fr=yfp-t-701&tt=%253Cb%253Esuffolk%2Bcounty%2Bpolice%2B%253C%252Fb%253Eford%2Binterceptor&b=0∋=209&no=22&ts=&tab=organic&sigr=127e6lfhv&sigb=13urh928q&sigi=11dplh95q&.crumb=weRjNWJZZmdheres the old cruiser:http://images.search.yahoo.com/images/view;_ylt=A0PDoKxdjvRQbxIAKDiJzbkF;_ylu=X3oDMTBlMTQ4cGxyBHNlYwNzcgRzbGsDaW1n?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fimages%3Fp%3Dsuffolk%2Bcounty%2Bpolice%2Bnew%2Bcruisers%26n%3D30%26ei%3Dutf-8%26fr%3Dyfp-t-701%26tab%3Dorganic%26ri%3D1&w=420&h=283&imgurl=cbsnewyork.files.wordpress.com%2F2010%2F10%2Fsuffolkpdcruiser_420_4.jpg%3Fw%3D420&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Ftheerant.yuku.com%2Ftopic%2F39280%2FAlbany-Paper-exposes-hooked-up-Rabbi-on-SP&size=183.9+KB&name=%3Cb%3ESuffolk+County+Police+%3C%2Fb%3ECruiser+%28credit%3A+Mike+Xirinachs+%2F+WCBS+880%29&p=suffolk+county+police+new+cruisers&oid=2f66640b84cd5b6f3f7c01bf0ea2afdb&fr2=&fr=yfp-t-701&tt=%253Cb%253ESuffolk%2BCounty%2BPolice%2B%253C%252Fb%253ECruiser%2B%2528credit%253A%2BMike%2BXirinachs%2B%252F%2BWCBS%2B880%2529&b=0∋=209&no=1&ts=&tab=organic&sigr=12fl5n48s&sigb=13t36b4be&sigi=127l1a8es&.crumb=weRjNWJZZmd Mets, Jets, Islanders
Bigboy1083
I don't understand why a Harpo, a company based in Chicago and LA, would have a police car from East Hanover NJ. Thanks KaTo

I know this is the same look as the LA police use though. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy. Legend
Tampa still has both of these designs around, it's weird to see. I always seem to notice departments don't leave such substantial differences in designs, but maybe I'm missing something. The first pic is newer, the second pic is the older design, but it's hard to call one current when I seem to see almost an equal amount of both. deked73
Finally found a good pic of the paint job on the Holly Springs (Ga.) PD's Chargers. Love it.I got pulled over by one of those today my luck being my first time in ga from floridaI lived in Woodstock, Ga and Canton, GA. Holly Springs is sandwiched in between both of those towns so I saw them quite often. Especially on 575 waiting round one of the bends to catch that idiot that decides to speed at the wrong place. I don't know how many times I'd slow done before Ireached one of these points and saw another driver fly past me just to see that Charger just starting off to catch up to the speeder. Great looking car.

El Scorcho
There are some very cool looking Police cars in this thread. I'm a Police officer in Adelaide, Australia, and we drive these Holden CommodoresThey are in the process of phasing them out and replacing them with the new VF Commodore model, but I couldn't find a good photo of a VF police car.
