It's funded better, it's actually supported by the Major Leagues around the world, and they can actually use professional players due to not having scheduling conflicts. It's not like they're just dropping the ball on that one, it's just too complicated and conflicting to make it work. If they went with just the canton they would be using the flag of a political party. It would like if a US team decided to represent the entire United States with the flag of either the Democratic or Republican parties. They look like they are batting practice caps created by a high school athletic director for a summer camp in 1993. Israel's definitely. Great Britain? Totally illegible.
