Digby Posted June 24, 2013 Share Posted June 24, 2013 To be fair the Timbers ownership put a lot of effort into getting a baseball-specific stadium built elsewhere in the city... but it's a hard sell to get public funds when the owner is Hank Paulson's kid. Really is a shame to have a city of such baseball history go without, but it's hard to argue against what the Timbers have become. At least we got that awesome Hillsboro Hops logo out of it. I know Lids isn't the "be all, end all" for hats, but in their MiLB section, they have http://www.lids.com/...e-Mets/20446370 The St. Lucie Mets "Gwinnett Braves" hat and the Columbus Clippers "Hagerstown Suns" http://www.lids.com/...n-Suns/20453297 They also sell each team's hat individually. These aren't teams that "became" the other team, so what's the story between these? Thanks.
