RoughRiders99
When I was growing up, I was always studying maps and logo as well. So I thought, why not and try to see what are some of the good maps out there with sports logos on them that shows their location.Sure, some maps with logos could not be 100% accurate, but I'm probably talking more about presentations.Sometimes it's just fun to see a map with all of the logos so you can see how far and close the teams are to each other. Here's some examples that I personally like: http://i.imgur.com/4Unb7.jpghttp://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/images/events/spring_training/y2011/cactus_index_map.gifhttp://p.blog.csdn.net/images/p_blog_csdn_net/jobe2007/537103/o_NBA_map_thumb.jpghttp://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lz0EZpHZGvs/T0U7hMax48I/AAAAAAAAAOM/mduibgux8tk/s1600/500px-BigTenMap.jpgThose are just a FEW examples of what I like. Here's one that probably shouldn't be posted in this thread because....it's just too plain: http://springtrainingmagazine.com/maps/grapemap.jpgFeel free to post some examples that you think would look great! It could be from any league, any conference, any division, any sport, any level, any-anything!

In fact having lived in two states in unincorporated territories--Idaho and Utah, there were more Braves or Cubs fans because we could get TBS and WGN, so we if we wanted to see baseball, those were the teams we watched.BTW, the posts so far in this thread have been killer for those of us who are too lazy to click on links--this is the only one I've clicked so far, so I'll make it an inline image. The Diamondbacks don't have THAT many fans either. "Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be eaten. njmeadowlanders
They don't. It was a promo for whatever campaign they had. All it is supposed to be is a map designating a territory for each team for something like "loyalty to where you're from" or something like that. There's no actual rhyme or reason to the borders/delineation, it's just "oh, there's a couple of teams in proximity here, let's squeeze them in and draw a funky border that looks like it'd be an old map". Don't read into it more than that. If it were realistic for instance, there just wouldn't be a Mets section. It'd be overwhelmingly Yankees everywhere. TornadoGTS
They should have it so the Yankees, Red Sox, Mets, and Phillies have stakes in Florida, and then the Marlins have one little tiny piece belonging to one fan. The Diamondbacks don't have THAT many fans either.Even from a pure geographical standpoint, the Marlins shouldnt go above Orlando, let alone the Panhandle or southern parts of Georgia. I know people in the Panhandle (that aren't northern transplants) are usually Braves or possibly Rays fansb but Marlins, that's a stretch. Facebook: CustomSportsCovers Twitter: CSCovers Quote No because when the Irish came to Ireland and first came in contact with the leprechaun people, they didn't take their land away and force them to move west. Instead, the two groups learned to assimilate peacefully. However, certain tribes of the leprechaun refused to taint the pure blood and moved north into the forests of Ireland, only to be seen rarely, usually at the same time of a rainbows appearance and occasionally at the factories of Lucky Charms. Agreed that it would make more FAKE sense if the Rays went futher north instead of the Marlins.

DolphinManatee
Is Fort Myers/Naples supposed to be without a team, or is that white part just uninhabited Everglades?I think it is inland Monroe County (the Everglades) though it looks like Collier County (Naples/Marco Island/Immokalee) is mistakenly put there in white (it is either disputed or Marlins territory).I see on the map Fort Myers/Lee County is disputed between the Rays and Marlins (though this is Red Sox Country ).
