I LOVE those. Therefore, there is no way they'll be anything even close to that.

But hasn't it been confirmed that the road uniform will be black?

If that's going to happen I would not be unhappy. OK, there's definitely a lack of purple in home and alternate but they look ok. The purple away uniform actually would rock!

And, I actually like the supposed new logos. Again, there is a lack of purple in all of these but I think especially the primary logo looks way better and very nice and clean in comparison to that former gray mess.

I'm a simple person, I have a pixelated David Beckham as profile photo since 2010.

Based on the new logo set, official wordmarks, and the previous Barkley-era sun-streak unis, here's my approximation for the Suns unis:

that purple away looks WAY out of place (much like the PHX logo now), but it looked even more odd to add purple anywhere on the home and alt unis. anyone with any suggestions of variations on my render here?

Add purple to the streak in the sunburst. That's the way it used to be in the '93 unis.

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.

Purple is historically a SUNS color so I want it to stay but the orange and black look more like a desert theme. Seems to me they should do like the Kings- have one purple road, one black alt road.

I've been saying all along that the Suns should have an all orange home primary uniform (like the Lakers have an all yellow). They can also have an all white home uniform that they either alternate out with the orange or only wear on Sundays (again, like the Lakers). Then you have an all black primary road uniform with an all purple alternate road uniform. Many teams have several uniform colors, why not the Suns?

The Lakers were grandfathered in, but I believe you have to have a white jersey, per league rules.

As I said, they'd still have a white home jersey, but they could also have an orange one. The last couple years they wore orange at home on several occasions, might as well make it a primary home uniform. I think they do it for the fans, so it makes more sense to wear it at home rather than on the road. Last year, the Warriors wore their sleeved yellow uniforms at home, I'd imagine the Suns' orange sleeved unis could be worn the same way.

Great job. This would be pretty amazing. Wish the roads were black to match the primary(obviously not your fault), but thats only why. The purple still looks great

If the Suns bring back the streaking sun jersey, then it instantly becomes one of the top jerseys in the league.

..... as long as it includes some purple. Without it, the jerseys look flat.

I'm really confused, AZ Central wrote that away will be black, now it's purple. Also role of purple is bigger than I'm think. Very intresting situation with Phoenix.

The fans have been extremely vocal since the initial leak. I've been saying all along that I thought it was odd nothing was officially unveiled yet (it seemed the original plan was to introduce everything on Friday, the day after the Finals). NBA.com and a couple other retailers started selling a few shirts, but that was it. No official word from the team. I have to believe Sarver foresaw another PR nightmare on his hands and has frantically trying to do anything he can to avert it. At least, that's what I like to imagine happening.

No. Sorry. Whatever the new uniforms look like they've looked like that for some time. Fan reaction isn't going to change anything. Sorry, but that's just how the marketing/manufacturing machine works with modern pro sports :\

I'm not an English native speaker but I don't understand why people keep this word even though the Warriors introduced yellow home uniforms 2 years before the Lakers. At least according to those websites:

The Warriors may have introduced yellow home uniforms first, but the Lakers made the look famous. While it's not fair that the Warriors weren't grandfathered in with the Lakers I understand why it happened. The Lakers made yellow home jerseys famous, they made it their brand. And the NBA wanted to protect the brand of one of its marquee teams.

Fair enough. What I don't understand, though, is giving priority to a single franchise. I always thought that the regulations in American leagues (salary cap, draft lottery etc.) were there equalize the chances for all members.

On the other hand, seeing how often Nuggets or Cavs used their yellow unis, it appears that those rules can be easily bent.
