cohenj21
I have a few suggestions for locations for the minor league teams, these are just suggestions you don't have to use them. Sorry because this will likely make your eyes bleed.Appreciate the feedback, but the league is set. Has been for a while. I have been steadily working on the teams along side of the rest. Not long before I will begin that phase. One poster with a very Dark Mind and who one who planted the seed has seen a small glimpse of it.Four divisions left of the present phase. Will each NFL team have its own minor league team? Or will it be like the NBA D-League with pro teams sharing minor league teams? "Those who believe in telekinetics, raise my hand."

Kiltman
I vote other for the poll.....Glasgow and/or Edinburgh....if Dublin gets a franchise, Scotland deserves one. They supported the Claymores well during their time there

You might discover something that you haven't seen yet.Sidney, Rio and Cape Town, so all the continents are supported. Still trying to stay somewhat realistic about this. Sydney would work since I have Tokyo and Honolulu.Rio and Cape Town, not so much. Old Dog Learning New Tricks.
NewEnglandAmazins
If your concept would come to fruition, wouldn't the NFL become the WFL? Also, would the CFL merge into this International League?
DS729
Barcelona would be great, bring in the spanish market, sports culture there (FC Barcelona) Berlin because football is pretty well established in Germany (more than any other country besides maybe the UK) and Berlin is the largest city in Germany. Sydney because it gives Tokyo and Hawaii a travel buddy. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
PlatinumAmphibian
Voted Sydney to get some Aussie flavour in the league, bit disappointed about the lack of Perth as an option but can live with your decision as we are normally left out
NoleYourRole
Sorry for the super long post. I may have thought about this more than I should have. TL;DR is understandable hahaGlad to see you're thinking of adding three more. Love some of the choices. Looking at these on a map, it's kind of tough. I'm assuming Honolulu will be an Intl. team, unless you take my suggestion and make Mexico City an Intl. team. Honolulu almost makes more sense considering the Dallas/Mexico City relationship you're trying to establish, and Honolulu is much closer to Tokyo and could create a "rivalry" there as well. I think Sydney would be a great addition, would love to see your take on an Aussie team, but with three teams on that side of the world it seems a little unbalanced. Having the other seven Intl. teams condensed to that "heart of Europe" area. If you add Sydney/Brisbane it almost seems like you'd need a China/S. Korea/New Zealand team (Shanghai/Beijing-Tokyo and Sydney-Honolulu rivalries almost speak for themselves) just to balance it out a little. In my mind you either have 6 European teams or 8. 6 European and 4 Pacific I think is the best balance. Gives you 3 and 2 in each division, ensuring some rivalries and plenty of cross play/travel options. Tokyo, Honolulu, Sydney +1 more and then the current Europe teams plus either Berlin or Copenhagen. However, I really like the idea of Barcelona and would love to see your Spanish inspired concept. BUT, going that far south in Europe from the rest of the cluster begs for some balance- which was surprising not to see any consideration for Paris/France and/or Rome/Italy. Scotland/Dublin is a nice Celtic battle, London/Paris is ages old, Barcelona and Rome would be interesting considering they are almost on the same latitude across the bay if you will, Copenhagen and Amsterdam, and then East vs West Germany with Berlin and Frankfurt.Love this whole concept and thread. It'd be great if the NFL actually did anything like this.

It is a slippery slope when you start adding a team here and there. All along I have tried to keep this as realistic as possible. That is why I followed the path of previous league ventures into Europe. If we are honest, Barcelona is a real big reach. They didn't support the Dragons very well at all. For that matter I would say that France could probably careless about American football. Same for Italy. I also don't think that there would be any scenario that would see an NFL franchise associated with China.A second team in Australia could be a possibility.......... Old Dog Learning New Tricks. Beluga4
Cool uniforms but I think Dublin is a small overseas city compared to London, that wouldn't have a long lasting NFL team, but this would be a great logo and uniform for a Las Vegas team (This is no offence to your project, just my opinion )
DS729
I have an idea... You could make 2 new conferences the Euro Conference and the Pacific Conference, add all the European or Pacific team you like, they go into those conferences. No offense taken. You have to understand that this an out of the box concept. As far as Dublin is concerned... Even if guys said they would never want to play in London, 100 percent of the guys on our team would say they would play in Dublin for Mr Rooney, Roethlisberger told IrishCentral.com Id do it for him.If the Steelers are serious about playing in Dublin, the NFL might be willing to accommodate them with at least a preseason game.Link The news that the NFL will play two games at Wembley Stadium in London next year came as a disappointment to some in Ireland, who thought that if the NFL was ready for a second game across the pond, it should have been at Croke Park in Dublin. Croke Park, a stadium that seats 82,300 and hosted the 1996 Notre Dame-Navy college football game, is disappointed not to get an NFL game next year, stadium director Peter McKenna told the Irish Examiner.Link Trust me when I say that have done some research. Evil G
Iowa Barnstormers (Green Bay Packers)No. Already in use by an arena team. Also, I don't think Des Moines would affiliate with the Packers, maybe more the Vikings or the Bears. Pixels, if you're doing Iowa, by all means please do not name it something farm-related.
